Pirates of the Caribbean

One of the most iconic rides in Disney is also safe for pregnant women. Pirates of the Caribbean is another boat ride but with a completely different theme. This ride includes an entire pirate story line and even a small thrill drop.

Peter Pan’s Flight

Pregnant women will love this ride beginning at its queue. The queue itself is like its own little show, and the ride is a fun and easy flight. Peter Pan’s Flight is definitely a must do ride.

Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid

For the moms who love princesses, this is a fun and musical ride. Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid is also air conditioned, something that pregnant moms do not want to turn down when contending with the Florida heat.

Astro Orbiter

Astro Orbiter is a spinning ride similar to Dumbo or the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, but the reason it tops those for best rides is because it spins a bit faster and it goes much higher. This attraction will give guests an amazing view of Magic Kingdom and Cinderella’s Castle.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Normally battling aliens wouldn’t be considered a pregnancy safe activity, but it is with Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Sit back and grab ahold of your blasters for a great time.

Animal Kingdom

Na’vi River Journey in Pandora – World of Avatar

Enter into a new universe with Na’vi River Journey in Pandora – World of Avatar. This ride is a beautiful, dark boat ride filled with bioluminescent creatures and plant life. It is truly an other worldly experience.

Expectant mothers can safely explore the five senses in a wacky manner on Journey into Imagination with Figment.

Hollywood Studios

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railroad

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railroad is one of the best rides in all the Disney parks for pregnant women. It is perfectly safe but has a lot of moving pieces that make it an absolute blast to ride.

Toy Story Midway Mania

A fun carnival style game brings out the competitive side to all playing. Even pregnant mothers can use these pop guns to hit the top score in Toy Story Midway Mania.

Alien Swirling Saucers

Alien Swirling Saucers is an absolute rocket blast. This ride is pretty fast paced, so expectant moms may wish to double check with their doctor, but Disney states on their website that Alien Swirling Saucers is safe for pregnant women.

Review

For expecting mothers who are looking to do more rides than shows, Magic Kingdom has the most options out of any other Walt Disney World park. Both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios have good options as well, and they also offer a lot of immersive experiences in just walking around those parks. Animal Kingdom offers mostly shows with only two actual rides in the park that Disney considers safe for pregnant women so if you are looking for rides, Animal Kingdom may be further down on your list, but it is still a breathtakingly beautiful park.

In addition to the attractions listed, all parades and fireworks shows in the parks are pregnancy friendly, since all expectant mothers need to do is sit or stand back and enjoy the show. Character meet and greets are also perfectly safe for moms looking to just have some fun with their favorite Disney characters.
