Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along joined the Impressions de France film at the Palais du Cinema theater on January 17, 2020. Due to being newer, and featuring come classic Disney characters, this short film is more popular than the Impressions short film that periodically plays in the same theater.

This film attraction, narrated by Angela Lansbury, is a retelling of the classic story Beauty and the Beast. In this comedic retelling it is revealed that Lefou has been the mastermind behind Belle and the Beast falling in love the whole time. The scenes from the original motion picture now include instances where Lefou lured Belle to the castle and would even help the Beast and Belle bond. Some of these scenes include switching the signs in the dark forest leading Maurice to the castle, sneaking into the kitchen during Be Our Guest to help cook food, setting the mood in Tale as Old as Time by playing the violin, and making Belle’s iconic dress. Even Lefou’s song where he sings to Gaston turns out to be just a distraction so that he could sneak away and help break the Beast’s curse.

In addition to these new scenes, guests will be able to enjoy the original music. On the screen there will be the words so that everyone in the theater can sing along. In between the new storyline with our unsung hero and the sing along that everyone can enjoy, this attraction is truly a fun family favorite, perfect for people of all ages.

This sing along version is also much shorter than the original movie, with a run time of 15 minutes, so guests will have plenty of time to fit this attraction in during their visit to Epcot. There is also a timer outside of the theater that tells guests how long until the next showing begins.

Queue Experience

The queue for Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along lines up outside of the theater. Here guests receive a beautiful view of the France Pavilion. They will enjoy the raised stone flower bed as well as a spectacular fountain.

Once inside of the Palais du Cinema, guests will be able to observe 6 gallery cases that contain costumes and artwork that represent French literature in the cinema, ballet, theater, and opera. These add a nice touch of history and culture to the queue.
