Disney World is a great park for families because of its many gentle attractions for guests of all ages, heights, and abilities. However, its thrill rides should not be overlooked. There are many attractions for thrill seekers throughout Disney World. Each park has its fair share, but which park should you visit for thrills? The answer to this question might look different for everyone depending on their preferences. Let’s take a look at each Disney park and the thrills that they offer in order to determine which park is the best for thrill seekers.
Magic Kingdom
TRON Lightcycle Run– Guests board a lightcycle and race through the world of TRON. This attraction is partially enclosed as guests launch from 0-59mph in seconds. Reaching a top speed of nearly 60 miles per hour, this is one of the fastest coasters in all of Disney World.

Space Mountain– Hurl through outer space in total darkness! Space Mountain is a classic coaster that features sudden drops and tight turns, making you feel totally out of control!
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train- This family coaster isn’t short on thrills with its banked turns and audio-animatronic scenery.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad– “The wildest ride in the wilderness” is also the most fun. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a journey through a wild ghost town you won’t soon forget.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure- This log flume-style attraction will leave you soaked. Featuring a 50 foot drop among others, this thrill ride feels like a celebration as well.
EPCOT
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind– This unique roller coaster tells a story with its movement, features a backwards launch, and insane visual effects! Featuring the Guardians of the Galaxy characters, this thrill ride is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before.

Mission: Space– This attraction will have you feeling as if you are truly being launched into space. Featuring strong g-force sensations, this attraction isn’t for the weak-stomached.
Test Track– This attraction is currently closed for a remodel, but it is expected to mantain the same level of thrill once it reopens. Test Track is a high speed ride, reaching a top speed of 65 miles per hour.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Rise of the Resistance- This thrill ride and dark ride combination really transports you to the world of Star Wars. This attraction is an experience that begins in the queue.
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror– This attraction is so much more than a simple drop-tower ride. The drops are randomized, so you never know what frightening combination you might get.

Rock n’ Roller Coaster– This coaster features a 0-60mph launch and several inversions. A can’t-miss for a true roller coaster fan.
Star Tours– Star Tours is a motion simulator ride that uses 3D effects to bring the attraction to life. It has hundreds of story combinations to experience.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Expedition Everest- Experience the legend of the forbidden mountain with Expedition Everest, which reaches a top speed of 50mph, moves backwards, and has a terrifying yeti.

Avatar: Flight of Passage- This attraction is unique because of its ride vehicle that feels like a living, breathing banshee. Guests will soar through the skies during this thrilling attraction.
Dinosaur– Experience this thrilling chase through time before it closes! Dinosaur is a bumpy, jerky, expedition through the Jurassic.
Which Park Should You Choose?
The answer to this question is dependent on which sort of thrill rides you enjoy. If you enjoy story-based attractions then Disney’s Hollywood Studios is perfect for you. If you are simply in it for roller coasters then Magic Kingdom is a better fit. If you want other experiences alongside the thrills then you can’t go wrong in choosing Animal Kingdom or EPCOT!
