Things To Do At Disney World For Pixar Fans

Disney World has so much to offer to its guests of all ages and interests. Whether you are a fan of Winnie the Pooh, the Disney Princesses, or classic Disney, there will always be something in the Disney parks for you to see and do. There are several things to do and see for Pixar fans. Fans of the Pixar films and characters will be delighted at the amount of attractions, characters, references throughout the parks. Here are some great things to see and do at Disney World for Pixar fans!

Toy Story Land – Hollywood Studios

Toy Story fans will love where the films come to life at Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Step into Andy’s Backyard and shrink down to the size of a toy when you enter this immersive land that’s filled with things to do for Toy Story fans. Upon entering you’ll first notice Slinky Dog Dash, a family coaster starring Slinky Dog himself that explores all of Andy’s backyard at fast speeds. This coaster is for guests 38 inches or taller. As you walk further into Toy Story Land you’ll find Alien Swirling Saucers, a whirling swirling ride with the Toy Story aliens for guests 32 inches or taller. Toy Story Mania is the final attraction located within Toy Story Land, and features all of your favorite Toy Story characters taking you through an interactive arcade as you whip across corners and quickly fight for the highest score.

Toy Story Land is also home to two Toy Story themed restaurants. Woody’s Lunchbox is a quick-service dining option that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lunchbox favorites like loaded tater tots and toaster pastries are served at this outdoor dining spot. Looking for a themed sit-down restaurant? Look no further than Roundup Rodeo BBQ- the ultimate Toy Story restaurant. This restaurant is built for toys by toys, and operates right inside of Andy’s bedroom. Guests can feast on classic BBQ dishes. Just watch out for when Andy is coming!

Throughout Toy Story Land guests will also find character meet-and-greets for Buzz, Jessie, Woody, and Bo Peep, and can catch periodic performances by the Green Army Men Drum Corps. Overall, Toy Story Land is a great immersive experience for the Pixar fan in your family.

Pixar Place – Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios has more to offer Pixar fans than just Toy Story Land! Pixar Place has been newly reimagined, and is a center for all things Pixar. Pixar Place is located right before the entrance to Toy Story Land, and is home to several character meet-and-greets as well as The Neighborhood Bakery food stand. The Neighborhood Bakery serves delicious Pixar themed treats like Jack Jack’s Num Num Cookies.

You can find several characters to meet at Pixar Place including Edna Mode, Sully from Monsters Inc, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin – Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom‘s Tomorrowland is home to another Toy Story attraction: Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. This attraction is a fan-favorite and takes guests as Space Ranger cadets. Join Buzz Lightyear as you travel the galaxy in search of the evil Emperor Zurg. Guests will operate their own laser canons during this space voyage and even turn their ride vehicle 360 degrees as they take aim. This attraction is for guests of all ages.

Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor – Magic Kingdom

Also located in Tomorrowland is the Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor. This interactive comedy show stars Mike Wazowski and utilizes audience participation in order to collect enough laughter to power Monstropolis. Pixar fans will love revisiting Monstropolis and interacting with this live show.

Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival – EPCOT

Fans of Pixar’s work will definitely appreciate the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival at EPCOT. Located near Image Works, this 18 minute-long collection of Disney and Pixar short films plays with in-theater effects and stunning 3-D. Three short films are played in the theater with a pre-show about Pixar’s history playing in the queue-area just before. This attraction is a wonderful experience for Pixar fans and fans of animation in general.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – EPCOT

One of Disney’s newest attractions is located within the France pavilion at EPCOT. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a ride that shrinks guests down to rat-size and takes them through a rat’s journey in a Parisian kitchen. This attraction is a 4D experience with several theater effects as well as 3D animated film sequences and larger-than-life scenery.

Wilderness Explorers – Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Fans of the Pixar film Up will adore the Wilderness Explorers experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This experience challenges guests to become Wilderness Explorers throughout a series of nature-themed activities. Guests can earn up to 25 badges and earn the rights to calling themselves Wilderness Explorers!

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…And Beyond! – Disney’s Animal Kingdom

One of Pixar’s most beloved films, Finding Nemo, has been transformed into a stunning stage show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…And Beyond! is a musical show featuring spectacular puppetry and scenery. This 25 minute-long production will captivate guests and explore the events of both Finding Nemo and Finding Dory.

Explore Art of Animation Resort

For Pixar fans who really want to see their favorite films brought to life, take a short visit over to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. This resort is all about animation, and has a section for two beloved Pixar films: Cars and Finding Nemo. The Cars section of this resort has life-sized statues of Cars characters as well as a replica of the Cozy Cone Motel. Take a walk through this section and you will really feel like you’ve entered the world of Cars. The Finding Nemo section of the resort boasts a stunning pool, playground, and larger than life statues of Nemo and friends. Once you are finished sightseeing, enter the main lobby building for a meal at the Landscape of Flavors food court, or some shopping at Ink & Paint Shop which sells resort-exclusive merchandise as well as all things Cars and Finding Nemo.
