How To Celebrate Father’s Day At Disney World – 2024

Father’s Day is fast approaching and a trip to Disney World is the perfect way to celebrate the special dad in your life. Disney World is a destination that promotes quality family time with its many attractions, restaurants, and family-oriented atmosphere. If you are planning a trip to Disney World this Father’s Day then here are just a few ideas on how to celebrate.

Golf at One of Disney’s Courses

Did you know that Disney World is home to 4 incredible golf courses? If the dad in your life loves golf then be sure to treat him to a Disney golfing experience. Tee times can be booked in advance for all courses, and maps are available to view online as well. Golf instructors as well as Junior golf programs are available as well so everyone in your family can join in on the fun.

Book an Enchanting Extra

Disney World is so much more than its theme parks and attractions. There are several Enchanting Extras that can be booked in order to give Dad a Father’s Day that he’ll never forget. If the dad in your life loves Star Wars then consider booking a custom Droid-building experience at Droid Depot in Galaxy’s Edge, or build a lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop. A Behind the Seeds Tour at Disney’s Living with the Land attraction at EPCOT is the perfect activity for a dad who is interested in agriculture and loves to learn. Caring for Giants at Animal Kingdom will give you and your dad an exclusive look at Disney’s elephants and at Disney’s backstage animal care areas.

Another Enchanting Extra that’s perfect for Father’s Day is a Capture Your Moment photo session. These sessions take place in select locations at Disney parks include 20 minutes with a private Photopass Photographer. This is a great way to capture some family pictures to celebrate the day. Capture Your Moment sessions begin at $99.00.

Reserve a Haircut at Harmony Barber Shop

Not many guests realize that Magic Kingdom is home to a classic barber shop. Harmony Barber Shop is located to the left when you first walk into the park, near the Main Street Fire Station and entrance to The Emporium. Treating dad to a haircut or beard trim at Harmony Barber Shop is a great way to get ready for a full day at Magic Kingdom, and a fantastic way to pamper him on his special day. Adult haircuts at Harmony Barber Shop begin at $21.00, while beard trims begin at $8.00.

Visit a Disney Waterpark

Father’s Day is June 16th, and the summer weather makes for the perfect day at one of Disney’s waterparks! Currently, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark is open while Disney’s Blizzard Beach Waterpark will reopen soon. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is home to several fun water attractions like Crush n’ Gusher, the world’s first water roller coaster, Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool which sets off a 6-foot wave, and Miss Adventure Falls, a family whitewater rafting adventure.

Enjoy a Special Dinner

What better way to end a Father’s Day celebration than by enjoying a nice meal? Disney World is home to dozens of restaurants that range from causal to upscale dining. Whatever his taste is, you are sure to find a restaurant that he will love. Some of our favorite restaurants for dad include Ohana restaurant at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Space 220 at EPCOT, Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom, and Sci-Fi Dine-In at Hollywood Studios.
