Attractions For Your Child’s Nap Time at Disney World

Taking little ones to Disney World and worried about nap time? Don’t be! While you always have the option of returning back to your resort for nap time as a Disney resort guest, you can also choose to nap your child at the parks rather than disrupt your day. My family has taken a few trips to Disney with our toddlers and we have experienced every option for naps. We’ve taken a midday break with our kids but we have also done stroller naps, and attraction naps. Believe it or not, there are several Disney attractions that tend to put little kids to sleep! If you wish to continue experiencing attractions while your child sleeps then check out these attractions for your child’s nap time at Disney World.

Carousel of Progress

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is located in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland, and while this showcase of the American family experiencing the progress of the 20th century might be entertaining for adults, some children consider this attraction a snooze! This attraction features theater-style seating, and with cool air-conditioning and a dark theater, this attraction is the perfect nap time show for your kiddos ( and maybe even some adults). Carousel of Progress features audio-animatronics and music but this attraction never becomes loud enough to wake kids or startle them. And the gentle rotation of the showroom might lull your children into an even deeper sleep.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover

After finishing up at Carousel of Progress, head over to Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover. This elevated train ride through Tomorrowland offers a great napping space for your kiddo. Adults can hold their child on their lap as the People Mover moves throughout Tomorrowland at a brisk but gentle pace. Several portions of this attraction take place in dark tunnels, including an extended amount of time going through the darkness of Space Mountain. This attraction is located entirely under sunshades and offers a cool breeze as well.

Hall of Presidents

Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square is home to another audio-animatronic show that will either put your little ones to sleep or keep them that way. Hall of Presidents is a 25 minute-long show featuring audio-animatronics of our nation’s past presidents. Long-winded speeches, air-conditioning, and a dark theater environment come together for the perfect nap time recipe.

Pirates of the Caribbean

What better attraction for nap time than a dark boat ride? Pirates of the Caribbean is a cool, dark, boat ride through the life of pirates. This attraction is great for the napping kiddos because it is fairly calm and quiet, with only a few loud scenes throughout the attraction. There is a slight drop at the beginning of the ride so guests should be aware that they cant hold their child in a lying down position during this attraction. They must be facing forward and sitting up. But this doesn’t mean they can’t fall asleep this way during the ride! If you have an extra sleepy little one then this dark ride might just float them off to sleep.

Spaceship Earth

EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth is another slow-moving attraction that has been known to put little kids to sleep, including my own! This attraction takes place mainly in the dark, and is a slow-moving ride exploring the progress of our world throughout the centuries. This attraction is narrated throughout and while extremely interesting and educational to older kids and grown ups, it can come across as dull to the little ones. My toddler once fell asleep sitting up during this attraction, and it will forever be my top recommendation for a nap time attraction.
