Best Attractions for Cooling Down at EPCOT

Many guests are concerned with the heat during their Disney vacations, and for good reason! Central Florida can become quite hot with temperatures averaging above 90 degrees during summer and fall months. Even if you are traveling during the winter months, you might still encounter a day with temperatures well above average. EPCOT is a large park with many attractions and things to do and see. Because of its size you can expect to walking a lot during your trip. Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival

If you need a seat and air-conditioning then make your way toward Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival, located in World Celebration in EPCOT. This celebration of short films is a 3D experience with real-life effects like rumbling, water spray, and more. This experience is 18 minutes long, perfect for cooling down and resting. If you arrive prior to showtime you can enjoy the preshow detailing Disney and Pixar’s animation processes.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends

The Seas with Nemo & Friends is located in the World Nature section of the park and offers a great break from not only the heat but the busyness of the park as well. This attraction is a slow-moving journey through the ocean with Nemo, Marlin, Dory, and all of their friends from the film. After the attraction, guests disembark and explore Sea Base: EPCOT’s massive manmade ocean enviroment aquarium. Guests can enjoy viewing dolphins, manatees, sharks, and so much more during this educational aquarium experience.

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana

EPCOT’s newest attraction is also located in World Nature and explores one of the best ways to cool down: water! Journey of Water, inspired by Moana, is a showcase of water and all of the possibilities that it brings us. This attraction is unique because guests can choose to either stay dry or become wet during this experience, making it the perfect cooldown spot for all guests to enjoy.

The American Adventure

World Showcase can be a long journey, but luckily The American Adventure is an attraction that is great for cooling down about halfway through your walk around the world. This attraction is located in the America pavilion and is a show that runs for approximately 28 minutes. This theatrical stage show contains 35 audio-animatronics and explores iconic events of American history. Guests will leave the show feeling inspired, and cool.

Journey Into Imagination with Figment

Located in World Celebration, Journey Into Imagination with Figment stars everyone’s favorite purple dragon. This attraction is a slow-moving attraction with Figment through the imagination labs as guests learn how to embrace their imagination. After the attraction, guests enter ImageWorks Labs where they can play with several interactive games and explore creativity and imagination. A few characters meet here as well including Figment, giving guests plenty of time to rest and cool down!
