Disney Springs is a great way to make use of your downtime during your Disney vacation. Disney Springs is a massive shopping and entertainment center that doesn’t require a park ticket and has endless opportunity for fun. Many guests enjoy visiting Disney Springs during their check-in day, or during their rest-day in the middle of their trip. There are several ways to spend your downtime at Disney Springs. Here are a few ideas!
Dine, Snack, and Drink
Disney Springs is home to 69 dining locations. There is something for everyone whether you enjoy unique dining or prefer a more casual laid-back experience. Some dining experiences that stand-out include the T-Rex Cafe, a dinosaur themed restaurant featuring larger than life dinosaur animatronics as well as prehistoric themed foods and beverages. Morimoto Asia is another sit-down restaurant for those who love fine Asian cuisine. Chef Morimoto crafted the menu here to include the best sushi and Korean dishes.
If you are looking for snacks then Disney Springs definitely has you covered. Disney Springs has several snack stands like Sunshine Churros, as well as specialty dessert locations like Gideon’s Bakehouse and Salt & Straw Ice Cream.
Disney Springs is a great bar crawl destination with its many themed bars and lounges. Some popular places to drink include Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, as well as House of Blues Restaurant & Bar. Both of these spots have live entertainment and music making them the perfect place to kick back and kill time.
Shopping Opportunities
Disney Springs is known for its shopping and for a good reason. There are 95 stores and kiosks at Disney Springs so guests can truly find anything they need or want. Shopping at Disney Springs is a great way to grab anything that you might have missed while shopping at the parks, and is the perfect place to shop for souvenirs for those back home. My favorite stores at Disney Springs include World of Disney which is a massive Disney store containing anything and everything you can imagine. If you have kids then be sure to make a stop at the LEGO Store, and no trip to Disney Springs is complete without stopping inside Once Upon a Toy!
Opportunities for Play
While there is plenty of dining and shopping at Disney Springs, there are several other ways to spend your downtime as well. Disney Springs is home to a few attractions including a ticketed carousel and small train. Other major attractions at Disney Springs include the Aerophile, a massive helium balloon that takes guests 400 feet into the air. The Aerophile is currently priced at $29.99 for adults and $24.99 for kids.
Splitsville Luxury Lanes is another way to spend your downtime having classic family fun. This bowling alley takes guests back to an era gone by as they enjoy the sport of bowling!
Other ways to play at Disney Springs include meeting the Coca-Cola Polar bear on the second floor of the Coca-Cola Store, seeing Drawn to Life with Cirque du Soleil, and taking a boat tour in the Amphicar!
