Celebrating any holiday at Walt Disney World Resort is a special experience. From decorations to exclusive snacks and treats, souvenirs, and even special shows, Disney will make sure guests feel the magic and have plenty of opportunity to celebrate at their home away from home. While recent Disney news has us looking forward to planning for the Halloween and Christmas seasons, there is one summer holiday that cannot be overlooked.
Celebrating 4th of July at Walt Disney World is sure to be a patriotic event. Not only can you expect to have a large selection of themed treats and merchandise at your Disney Resort and at the Disney Parks, guests visiting Magic Kingdom can expect to see Independence Day fireworks on two nights. Celebrate America! Fireworks return July 3 and 4, 2023. Scheduled to begin at 9:20PM both nights, guests will enjoy a nighttime spectacular filled with patriotic castle projections and tunes timed perfectly to plenty of red, white and blue fireworks in the sky. Happily Ever After will resume its showing in Magic Kingdom on July 5 and continue indefinitely.
For more 4th of July fun, be sure to stop by The American Adventure Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase where one can always find the talented Voice of Liberty singers who perform every 45 minutes between noon and 3:45PM. Afterwards, check out The American Adventure show that features 35 Audio-Animatronics who take viewers though the history of the United States. Hang around for a filling lunch or dinner at Regal Eagle Smokehouse where they are always preparing the best finger-licking good barbecue meals. Not headed to EPCOT? Check out where else you can find the best barbecue in Walt Disney World for your 4th of July meal.
If you will be visiting Walt Disney World on July 4th, bring your red, white, and blue and be ready to enjoy this national holiday sprinkled with Disney Magic. Disney PhotoPass has also been known to offer special Magic Shots for the 4th of July holiday, so check for availability with the photographers at the parks! Since Celebrate America! Fireworks are a limited summer offering this July, plan to find your spot in front of Cinderella’s Castle or along Main Street U.S.A. on the early side as this show will undoubtedly be popular. Last year guests enjoyed a DJ on the stage while they waited for the big show to begin, so perhaps this enchanted extra will be available again in 2023.
