Spooky Season is swiftly sneaking up on Disney fans, beginning at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts in less than two months! While tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom have been available for purchase since May 2, 2023, tickets for the Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure go on sale to the public on June 29, 2023. This five-hour-long after-hours party is filled with exclusive Halloween-themed snacks and beverages, a large number of rare Disney character meet and greets, many opportunities to collect loads of candy on the villain-themed trick-or-treat trails, and several exclusive entertainment offerings not available during normal park hours.
If you’re still on the fence about whether the price of admission for Oogie Boogie Bash is worthwhile, don’t forget that, in addition to all of the special happenings, during the party many of Disney California Adventure’s most popular attractions will also be open with inevitably much shorter wait times than normal. Here’s a look at all of the attractions that are expected to be open during Oogie Boogie Bash in 2023.

While guests with valid admission can enter Disney California Adventure as early as 3:00PM on the day of the party, attendees will definitely want to save Guardians of the Galaxy for after the party’s official start time of 6:00PM. This attraction will receive a special Halloween overlay with a new storyline for the ride. During an attempted Guardians of the Galaxy rescue, the Guardians accidentally left Groot behind at the Collector’s Fortress which has been invaded by beasts of all kinds. Ride along with Rocket as you return to the Fortress to distract the monsters and retrieve Groot returning him to the rest of the pals. This overlay does take place in the dark with loud noises and intimidating monsters, so be mindful when planning to ride with smaller children.
Guests can also look out for Halloween overlays at Luigi’s Casa de la Tires and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree where unique Halloween dance parties will take place. These overlays are available during normal park hours as well as during Oogie Boogie Bash.
Oogie Boogie Bash takes place on 25 select nights beginning September 1 and concluding October 31, 2023. For those planning to visit Disney California Adventure during those dates, be sure to check park hours as guests without valid admission to Oogie Boogie Bash will be asked to depart before the party begins.
