5 Must-Try Desserts At DVC Resorts

Mickey Cinnamon Roll

When staying at a DVC Resort, nothing is better than indulging in a sweet treat. In my opinion, something spectacular is that every DVC Resort has a unique dessert that sets it apart. While you can never go wrong when choosing a dessert, here are five  desserts that I would  recommend to anyone.

1. Zebra Domes – Animal Kingdom Lodge

Now, I know what you must be thinking… A Zebra Dome?! What is that?! Well, I’m glad you asked. A Zebra Dome is an Amarula Cream Liquor mousse surrounded by a layer of white chocolate, which is drizzled with chocolate and chocolate shavings. And underneath it all is a thin base of cake. If you’re a fan of tiramisu, you’ll love Zebra Domes… Careful. They’re deliciously addicting! You can find this treat at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Zebra Domes can also be purchased at The Mara.

2. The Kitchen Sink – Beach Club

Do you love ice cream? I know I do! The Kitchen Sink sundae at Beach Club ($36) is a must-try. I recommend you request the Chocolate Lover’s version, which boasts chocolate ice cream, cookies-and-cream ice cream, vanilla ice cream, brownies, Milky Way pieces, Oreos, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, chocolate shavings, and chocolate chips. Is your mouth watering yet? Trust me… it’s an absolute dream!

3. Dole Whip – Polynesian

Do you like pineapple ice cream? If so, I encourage you to enjoy a taste of island sunshine at Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. If you do not like pineapple ice cream, that is okay because you can still savor traditional soft-serve swirls and floats. The pricing of the desserts is as follows:

  • DOLE Whip® Soft-serve – $5.49
  • Pineapple Float – $6.29

4. Key Lime Torte – Old Key West

Cruise over to Disney’s Old Key West Resort, grab a chair at the charming Olivia’s Café and order a slice of heaven in the shape of the Key Lime Torte. Served with mango and raspberry sauce, this dessert is a sweet and tangy mix that your taste buds will love.

4. Mason Jar Cheesecake – Wilderness Lodge

A terrific place to enjoy comfort food in a lively atmosphere is the Whispering Canyon Café, located in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The menu offers fan favorites like ribs, chicken, and beef brisket, while cast members add plenty of entertainment to the meal. Please don’t pass up the mason jar cheesecake; it’s a fun way to enjoy this classic creamy dessert.
