Many guests find there to be a massive benefit in taking midday breaks at their resort in order to rest, relax, and return back to the parks during the early evening for more attractions and activities. When you stay at a DVC resort like the villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you will find no shortage of recreational activities to enjoy. Play in the Pools

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is home to two incredible pools. The main pool, or the Beach Pool, is a large pool near the lakeshore featuring a twisting waterslide and zero-depth entry. An Alice in Wonderland-themed splash zone is located nearby for the little ones, as is a whirlpool spa. Poolside cabanas are available to rent for additional luxury and feature Smart TVs, padded lounge chairs and couches, a mini fridge, fruit basket, snack basket, towels, and Cast Member service.

The Courtyard Pool is a leisure pool for guests who prefer a more quiet pool experience. This pool is heated and also features zero-depth entry, and offers a whirlpool spa nearby.

Book a Spa Treatment

The Grand Floridian is home to a full-service spa where guests can treat themselves and truly indulge. Several different body services are available including massage, wraps, facials, nails, and so much more. Advance reservations are highly recommended for guests to be able to have the experience they deserve.

Rent a Boat

If you are looking for some excitement during your midday break then you might enjoy a motorized boat rental at Disney’s Grand Floridian. Sun Tracker Pontoon boats are available to rent and can accommodate up to 10 guests. The driver must aged 18 or older and posses a valid drivers license or state-issued ID, and all guests under the age of 12 must wear a life-jacket at all times.

Grab a Bite to Eat

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is home to several restaurants, including some award-winning fine-dining experiences like Victoria & Albert’s. A midday break at your resort is the perfect time to make a dining reservation for your family to rest and fill their bellies. 1900 Park Fare is a character buffet experience that has been newly reopened and features characters like Tiana, Mirabel, Aladdin, and Cinderella. Guests can dine on a delicious breakfast or dinner while they meet their favorite characters and take photos.

Guests looking for quick-service dining during their midday break can check out the Gasparilla Island Grille, serving lunch favorites like Gourmet Grilled Cheese, Cuban Sandwiches, flatbreads, and salads. If you wish to enjoy a drink during your downtime then be sure to check out Enchanted Rose, a Beauty & the Beast themed lounge serving specialty cocktails and light snacks and appetizers.

Rest and Enjoy Your Villa

Of course, if you are in need of a true break during your day then you can always retreat back to your stunning DVC villa.
