Why Your Next Solo Trip Should Be At Disney’s Vero Beach

Vero Beach

In need of a vacation that is filled with solitude and rest? Solo trips are good for the soul and Disney’s Vero Beach is the perfect destination for some peace and quiet. Whether you enjoy spending endless hours at the beach or treating yourself to the spa, solo trips are all about you and Vero Beach caters to that idea perfectly. If you enjoy traveling solo then you will definitely appreciate a solo trip at DVC’s Vero Beach Resort on the east coast of Florida, located roughly 2 hours away from the Disney World parks. Still on the fence? Here is why your next solo trip should be at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort.

Freedom To Do Nothing On The Beach

The crown jewel of Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is none other than the beach of course! This resort is home to miles and miles of pristine, private, sandy beachfront that requires a room reservation for entry. This beach is stunning, well-kept, and home to thousands of nesting turtles per year. If you stroll along the beach you will see several marked off areas for sea turtles, and you can learn about Disney’s turtle conservation efforts during your stay here as well.

When you are traveling solo you have absolute freedom…to do absolutely nothing at all! You can spend hours upon hours relaxing at Vero Beach thanks to their whole-day chair and cabana rentals, and beachside food and beverage service.

Lots of Room To Explore

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort property extends far beyond the beach. Not only is the resort itself a great place to walk and explore, but an underground tunnel nicknamed “The Peter Pan Tunnel” takes guests cross the street and into the historical Jungle Trail. This 8-mile trail was originally constructed as a dirt road in the 1920s and now operates as a nature trail. Guests can walk or bike this trail to experience nature and read informative signage along the way.

Opportunities to Treat Yourself

Treating yourself is mandatory when traveling alone. Luckily, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort has a full-service spa offering various facials, massages, body wrap treatments, and hand and foot treatments. The Spa at Vero Beach is very quiet and serene and advance reservations are recommended for this experience.

After you are through being pampered at the spa you can sit down for a meal at Vero Beach’s restaurant Wind & Waves Grill for breakfast or dinner. You can also stop for a quick drink at The Green Cabin Room, an indoor lounge with a large deck overlooking the ocean.

There are so many opportunities for fun at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Solo stays are perfect for doing what you want whenever you want, and at Vero Beach you will never feel bored. Guests can enjoy fishing lessons or tennis lessons, play the miniature golf course, rent bicycles or equipment for water sports, and exercise in the fitness center. The Community Hall is available for your enjoyment with DVD rentals and daily scheduled activities and crafts. And don’t forget to go for a swim at Vero Beach’s large heated pool, and relax in the whirlpool spa.
