Disney Springs at Walt Disney World is filled with many unique places to eat a meal. Whether you’re looking for a themed experience like Rainforest Café or T-Rex, upscale dining like Paddlefish, or somewhere quick where you don’t need an advanced reservation, there is truly something for everyone. Personally, for our non-park days while we are at Disney World, we don’t like to make too many plans, so while we are strolling through Disney Springs, shopping for souvenirs and enjoying the atmosphere, it’s nice to have a quality quick service option where we can sit down and grab a bite or take back to enjoy at our resort. We found that at Earl of Sandwich, located adjacent to Once Upon a Toy and Pin Traders.
The very first sandwich was created in England in 1762 and has been adapted over centuries into many forms and varieties. Earl of Sandwich pays homage to the root of the sandwich with the aesthetic of the restaurant resembling a British study. Patrons can find a table to enjoy their meal in the restaurant or have the cast members bag it to-go.
Earl of Sandwich is open for breakfast from 9:00-10:30AM, making it a perfect option for a grab and go morning meal if you are staying at a resort in the Disney Springs area, fueling up for a day of swimming at Typhoon Lagoon or planning to do some shopping right when the stores open at 10:00AM. Lunch and dinner are served from 10:30AM-11:00PM for those needing an early lunch, late dinner, and everything in between.
We found Earl of Sandwich to be an ideal dinner choice after we finished an afternoon of shopping at Disney Springs and fell in love with their gourmet sandwiches. Earl of Sandwich is much more than your usual made-to-order sandwich shop. Choose from a variety of sandwiches prepared on the most delicious freshly made hearth-baked bread. The sandwiches are lightly toasted and baked before being sliced and served. Because of the care taken to prepare your sandwich, you may wait a few more minutes for your meal than you would at other fast food sandwich restaurants, but the freshness and flavors of the carefully selected ingredients and sauces make it well worth-it. Wraps and salads are also on the menu and customers have the choice to pair their main selection with potato chips, wedges, soup, or a cookie or brownie if you make it a combo. Bottled and fountain beverages are also available to purchase.
On the menu, The Original 1762 honors the supposed first-ever sandwich featuring roast beef, cheddar, and horseradish sauce and The Full Montagu, named for the creator of the first sandwich comes with roasted beef, turkey, Swiss, and cheddar topped with lettuce, tomato, and Earl’s mustard sauce. No matter which variety you choose, you won’t be disappointed!
For those seeking allergy-friendly options, it’s best to consult with a cast member upon placing an order as supplier ingredients may vary. Overall, you may be able to enjoy their delicious sides, soups, and salads, however, gluten-free bread is not available at this location since the signature bread is a distinct part of the product offerings at Earl of Sandwich.
Earl of Sandwich is a quality quick service restaurant that appeals to diners of all ages and food preferences. Whether you choose to dine at the restaurant or order to-go, your entire travel party can enjoy a delicious meal from this Disney Springs establishment. Have you ever dined at Earl of Sandwich?
