How to Make Your Disney Babymoon Extra Magical

Disney World is a vacation destination for so many, and it is the perfect spot for special occasions like honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, and babymoons! Walking around a theme park might not seem like the ideal activity for a pregnant person, but Disney World is such an inclusive park and there is so much to do for all people. I celebrated my babymoon at Disney World when I was 31 weeks pregnant and we had an amazing time cherishing our last vacation as a couple without children. If you are thinking of celebrating at Disney World then here are a few ways to make your Disney babymoon extra magical.

Book a Capture Your Moment Session

Taking photos during your babymoon is a must, and Disney Photopass Photographers make it easy to get that perfect shot! With a Capture Your Moment photo session, you can get one-on-one time with a Disney Photopass photographer for a 20-minute photo session. This experience is currently priced at $99 and includes 20 minutes of photography at either Fantasyland, Main Street U.S.A., or Liberty Square. The cost of photos is not included in this price so it’s a good idea to have purchased Memory Maker ahead of time! For you babymoon you can take magical maternity photos, gender announcement photos, or even announce your pregnancy!

Meet Characters

Part of what makes a Disney babymoon so magical is the experiences you get with your favorite Disney characters. If you show a character your bump they will certainly react to it and offer you congratulations. Some characters might even have a special pose prepared for your photos together. Some guests have even used Disney characters as a way of announcing their pregnancy or for their gender reveal.

Have a Quiet Meal

While on your babymoon it is a good idea to soak in as much quiet time as you can get! A quiet, romantic meal is a great way to celebrate your babymoon. Breakfast at Kona Cafe is a great option for those who wish for a laid-back dining experience, as well as dinner at California Grill, Coral Reef Restaurant, Olivia’s Cafe, or Mama Melrose.

Purchase a Souvenir For The Baby

What better way to commemorate your babymoon than with a souvenir for your little one? Mickey ears are a great classic Disney souvenir and guests can get them embroidered onsite at Magic Kingdom! Mickey ears with your little one’s name is the perfect way to celebrate your babymoon or even announce the name to family and friends. There are also plenty of baby items to shop for throughout Disney World like onesies, toys, blankets, and lovies! You can even grab an “I’m Celebrating!” pin at Guest Relations for the occasion, or even a “First Visit” pin for your baby bump.

Stay at a DVC Resort

When visiting Disney World for your babymoon you will definitely want to stay somewhere comfortable. Staying DVC is a great way to add extra magic to your babymoon by choosing resorts with great locations like Disney’s Riviera on the Skyliner route or Disney’s Polynesian Resort on the Monorail line. DVC villas give you plenty of space for relaxing and come with great perks like washers and dryers and kitchens.
