Can’t Miss Attractions at EPCOT For First Timers

If you are traveling to Disney World for the first time you might be concerned about experiencing everything they have to offer. Unfortunately, many guests report back that they were unable to experience everything on their list during their visit to Disney World. This is why it is so important for first-time guests to shorten their list of must-dos to include only their top priority attractions! There is so much to see and do during a trip to Disney World, especially when you are visiting a park like EPCOT. EPCOT  is home to so many attractions and shows, you might not know where to begin. When trying to decide which attractions to ride at EPCOT for your first time, consider the following can’t miss attractions!

Spaceship Earth

This attraction is quintessential EPCOT and should be a priority of all first time guests! Spaceship Earth is a slow-moving journey through humanity’s progress. Beginning with the discovery of fire, and ending with space travel, this attraction perfectly embodies the spirit of EPCOT as a whole. Spaceship Earth is narrated by Judi Dench and features an award-winning score by Bruce Broughton. Spaceship Earth makes great use of its dozens of audio-animatronics and tells an inspiring story of progress, culture, and humanity.

Journey Into Imagination With Figment

Another iconic attraction that resides within EPCOT is Journey Into Imagination With Figment. Every first-time guest should ride this ride in order to meet EPCOT’s mascot and lovable purple dragon: Figment! This attraction is slow-moving and takes guests on a tour of the Imagination Institute. Guests experience imagination through sight, smell, and song! This ride is a fun attraction that is sure to make you a Figment fan.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends

The Seas with Nemo and Friends is a great attraction for first-timers because of its fun slow-moving journey through the ocean with Nemo, Marlin, Dory, and other characters from the beloved films. The ride is only part of the fun because this attraction exits into SeaBase: EPCOT’s massive aquarium, and largest manmade ocean environment on the planet. Guests can see dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, sting rays, and so much more!

Living with the Land

After experiencing this attraction you’ll understand why so many guests adore it. Living with the Land is a relaxing boat ride located within The Land pavilion. This boat ride is a narrated tour through EPCOT’s working greenhouses and fish farms and gives guests information on how we work with the land to make advancements in agriculture. This attraction is very educational but also entertaining as it explores different biomes throughout the world as well. Living with the Land gives a great glimpse into the working side of EPCOT, and how Disney utilizes its resources.

Soarin’

Also located in The Land pavilion, Soarin’ is a fantastic showcase of what Disney Imagineers are capable of. This attraction is for guests who are 40 inches or taller and features a hang-gliding simulator paired with a larger-than-life screen showing different world landmarks. This tour around the world really celebrates how EPCOT brings cultures together and appreciates every aspect of the world. Soarin’ is an exhilarating experiences that should not be missed!
