Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a great park for families, but also a fantastic opportunity for thrill seekers as well! Hollywood Studios has seen some major changes within the last few years, and these changes have brought some new thrilling attractions to the park. Adrenaline lovers will also appreciate Hollywood Studios’ classic thrill attractions as well. Do you have a thrill seeker in your family? Here are our favorite thrill rides at Hollywood Studios!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

This thrill ride is unlike any thrill ride you have ever experienced before. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is a thrill ride with all of the scenery and audio-animatronics of a dark ride. Guests begin this attraction by getting captured by The First Order in an incredibly immersive experience. They are transported to the First Order’s star cruiser where chaos soon unfolds as The Resistance comes to their aid. During this attraction guest will encounter larger than life Star Wars scenery like full-scale AT-ATs, as well as audio-animatronics of Storm Troopers and Kylo Ren. This thrilling attraction features some quick speeds as well as fast drops. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is suitable for guests 40 inches or taller.

Slinky Dog Dash

This roller coaster is perfect for the smallest thrill-seeker in your family and a great introduction to thrill rides overall. Slinky Dog Dash is located in Toy Story Land, and with a height requirement of just 38 inches or taller this attraction is a smooth but fast ride through Andy’s backyard. Guests will begin the attraction with a launch and reach a top speed of 40 miles per hour. Don’t forget to smile for your ride photo!

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

One of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ most classic thrill rides is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. This attraction takes guests inside an episode of the classic television show: The Twilight Zone. Guests board an elevator at an abandoned hotel that met with an unfortunate yet mysterious accident. This attraction is a drop-style thrill ride that randomizes the drop sequences for each ride, which means you never know what you’re going to get! The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has a height requirement of 40 inches or taller.

Rock n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

If you are looking for fast roller coasters then look no further than Rock n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. This indoor roller coaster launches guests to a speed of 60 miles per hour and features two rollover loops and one corkscrew, all set to Aerosmith’s classic hits. Rock n’ Roller Coaster has a height requirement of 48 inches or taller and is the only attraction at Disney World to take guests upside down!

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

Looking for a less-intense thrill ride? Star Tours- The Adventures Continue is an attraction that will delight guests at 0 miles per hour! This simulator attraction uses 3D effects as well as motion effects to take guests through several adventures through the world of Star Wars. C3p0 is your reluctant pilot, and guests can expect to see characters like Rey, Darth Vader, and even BB-8 and R2D2. This exciting thrill ride randomizes the scenes each time you ride giving you a new experience again and again. Star Tours- The Adventures Continue has a height requirement of 40 inches or taller.
