Exploring Echo Lake – Disney’s Hollywood Studios



Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a park that celebrates all things film and Hollywood. Many guests enjoy exploring Hollywood Studios’ immersive lands like Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land. However, there is so much more to discover at this park. Hollywood Studios first opened in 1989 with a heavy focus on old Hollywood and the magic behind the movies. While the park has seen some major changes throughout the years, many of the park’s original theme still stands to this day. There are several attractions and things to do and see in the Echo Lake section of the park. Echo Lake is home to some classic Hollywood Studios attractions as well as new. Attractions

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue- Star Wars isn’t just limited to Galaxy’s Edge! Echo Lake is home to a classic Hollywood Studios attraction that has been updated and upgraded throughout the years. Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, is a motion-simulator ride that uses 3D effects, audio-animatronics, motion, and visual effects to take guests on an epic Star Wars journey. This attraction is for guests 40 inches or taller, and features scenes from all Star Wars films and Disney+ originals. This attraction changes each time you experience it, with more than 250 storyline variations.

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-along Celebration- It doesn’t matter if you sound good, just that you’re loud! For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-along Celebration is your chance to belt out those Frozen songs that we all know and love. Arendelle storytellers entertain the audience with the story of Frozen as they lead guests in an sing-along. Appearances by Anna, Kristoff, and Elsa occur during this wonderful celebration of the film’s music.

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular- This live stunt show is unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is a live stunt show featuring professional stuntpeople performing acts you definitely shouldn’t try at home. Demonstrations of iconic scenes from Indiana Jones take place including the iconic “ball” scene. This show is an hour long and should not be skipped!

Mickey Shorts Theater Featuring “Vacation Fun”- Enter Mickey’s theater to watch an original short starring Mickey and the entire gang. This short film features vacation memories as told by Minnie and Mickey. The film is 11 minutes long and is a great opportunity for cooling off!

Dining

Hollywood & Vine- This sit-down restaurant offers character dining with Minnie and several of her friends, as well as Disney Jr. character dining during breakfast hours. For breakfast, guests can spend some time with Doc Mcstuffins, Fancy Nancy, and Vampirina while they enjoy a delicious buffet filled with breakfast favorite. Minnie and friends take over for lunch and dinner, as the buffet serves pork loin, salmon, chicken, pasta, and more. Check out Hollywood & Vine’s many seasonal buffets throughout the year as well.

Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction- Dinosaur Gertie is definitely a standout feature at Echo Lake! Check out this giant Dino for some great ice cream and frozen treats.

Dockside Diner- This quick-service stand serves yummy hot dogs like the bacon mac n’ cheese hot dog and the pretzel hot dog. Chocolate and vanilla shakes as well as a variety of alcoholic specialty beverages are also available.

Oasis Canteen- In need of a good drink? Oasis Canteen is a walkup bar serving a variety of alcoholic beverages and includes a full bar!

50s Prime Time Cafe– This sit-down restaurant transports guests to another time period. Step back in time to the 1950s and experience mama’s cooking. Everyone is family here, and you’ll be treated as such. Classic homemade meals like meatloaf and fried chicken are the stars of the show here.

Epic Eats- This food stand serves funnel cakes, soft serve, and ice cream floats.

Backlot Express-Great food can be found at this quick-service dining location. Backlot Express serves smoked BBQ pulled pork burgers, cheeseburgers, Cuban sandwiches, chicken strips, and salads.

Characters and Other Entertainment

Meet Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight- Olaf has his very own meet and greet at Celebrity Spotlight. There is a Lightning Lane available for this experience as well as Photopass Photography.
