Overview
Epic Eats is a small little stand on the side of Echo Lake, right next to Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! Although the stand itself may be small, the same cannot be said for their snack offerings. Epic Eats has a menu full of funnel cakes with different toppings, ice cream cones, and root beer floats. The funnel cakes are the obvious star of the menu.
As you can see from the picture above, the funnel cakes are absolutely massive and topped with a huge bit of soft serve ice cream (although you can get one without the ice cream if you want). Another bonus is that they are not overly sweet tasting, instead they are a great balance of sweet flavors. For less than $9, this snack will easily feed multiple people meaning you get quite a lot of bang for your buck.
One of the most surprising things about these ice creamed topped funnel cakes is that they seem to defy science. You would think that on a hot Florida day, on top of a fresh and hot funnel cake, the soft serve ice cream would melt quickly. However, we noticed that it stayed solid, yet the perfect soft serve texture almost the entire time we were eating it. Disney truly is magical when it comes to their snacks and these funnel cakes are no different.
The Epic Eats menu is simple and does not leave a lot of room for dietary changes, and as such it is not the most allergy conscious dining location in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. However, it is a very family friendly option, as we said before the portions are huge and not many kids will turn their nose up at a sugary delicious snack.
The menu here also includes a few alcoholic drink options such as beer, a mixed drink, and an alcoholic root beer float.
There is no seating area designated for Epic Eats, but there are plenty of ledges and benches around the surrounding area that are popular to use while enjoying your snack. Overall Epic Eats is an excellent and simple choice for a quick snack in Hollywood Studios.
