Everything We Know About Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Treasure Coming in 2024

Disney Cruise Line

While Disney Cruise Line’s vacations are always full of enchanting excitement, there have been many recent magical new offerings to entice cruisers of all ages. Last year we celebrated the maiden voyage of the Disney Wish whose sailings are still in high demand. This winter, Pixar Day at Sea debuted and this summer Disney Cruise Line will celebrate its Silver Anniversary at Sea. Beginning in summer 2024, a new private island destination will open and among all of this exciting news, it may have been easy to forget that, also in 2024, another new ship will join the Disney Cruise Line fleet! The sixth ship to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Treasure, will officially set sail next year.

The Disney Treasure is themed around adventure, a sure sensation one feels while traversing the high seas. The theme of adventure also honors Walt Disney’s bravery to explore avenues not yet traveled and his pursuit of making his dreams reality. The Grand Hall of the Disney Treasure is inspired by the grandeur of a golden palace, with architectural influences from Asia and Africa, honoring the city of Agrabah from the popular Disney film Aladdin. In accordance with Disney Cruise Line tradition, there will be a statue at the base of the stairwell. You guessed it – The Treasure will feature golden statues of Aladdin and Jasmine!

The Disney Treasure is the second of three “Triton Class” ships of similar design to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet. The Wish first set sail in July 2022. The Treasure is scheduled for delivery in 2024 on a yet to-be-determined date, and a third ship will follow in 2025! The name and design of the 2025 ship have yet to be announced. We do know that all three ships will run on liquefied natural gas and consist of 1,254 staterooms.

Disney is keeping us on the edge of our seats as they have yet to announce any of the entertainment, dining options, or additional treasure-themed elements that will appear on the Disney Treasure. And since the anticipated delivery date has yet to be announced, the Disney Treasure has yet to appear on any of the 2024 itineraries that have been published thus far. Do you think it will be ready in time for summer 2024 since The Wish set sail during the summer months?
