Disney’s Hollywood Studios and other Disney parks are typically open all day and into the night, and many guests prefer to spend as much of their day at possible within the parks. There are several perks to staying at the parks after nightfall. The heat of the day is gone, and the crowds are beginning to thin out. There are attractions and things to do up until the very minute of the park’s closing, and sometimes those minutes prior to the park closing can be great opportunities for magic and fun. If you find yourself at the parks after dark then check out some of these things to do just before closing at Hollywood Studios.
Wonderful World of Animation
Every night just prior to the park’s closing, the Wonderful World of Animal projection show plays on the Chinese Theater. This enchanting show takes guests through 90 years of Pixar and Disney animation and celebrates the classics in an inspiring and innovative way. This show is a great way to end your Disney night at Hollywood Studios by celebrating the spirit of the movies.
Explore Galaxy’s Edge at Night
Walking through Galaxy’s Edge at night in the minutes before the park closes is a great way to explore this area during a more calm time than the day. With many guests leaving the area to exit the park, there are less crowds throughout making it easier to see small details, look through the shops, experience the ambiance, and take photos of the landmarks without people in the background.
Get In Line For One Last Attraction
Did you know that the lines for attractions remain open up until the minute the park closes? Once you are in line for an attraction prior to closing you can remain in line despite it being after closing time. This is a great way to sneak in one extra ride of your favorite attraction, and also a great way to grab a shorter wait time for popular attractions. Some attractions that might have a shorter wait time at night are Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, Tower of Terror, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
Revisit Popular Photo Spots with No Crowds
After dark and before closing time is the perfect time to revisit those popular photo spots that were too crowded during the day. Photo Pass photographers are still out after nightfall, and many photo spots that are busy during the day have little to no wait at all. This is also a great time for guests to take their own photos of landmarks and park icons without many people in the background. Popular photo spots to revisit at night include the front of the Chinese Theater, Tower of Terror, and the Millennium Falcon in Galaxy’s Edge.
