The common advice for those traveling to Disney World in Florida is to schedule more than one day at each of these parks because of their size and number of attractions. But what about the Disney parks in California? Disneyland is smaller in size than Disney World’s parks but it is full of attractions and things to do and see. Multiple days at Disneyland is a great way to ensure you and your family experiences the park in full. But what about Disney’s California Adventure? This park is located right next to Disneyland and is full of thrills, characters, and references to your favorite Disney films. While Disneyland is the “classic” Disney park, Disney’s California Adventure is the newer and more “contemporary” park. Many guests get caught up in spending as much time as they can in Disneyland, but California Adventure is a wonderful park that is also deserving of a multi-day visit! Exploring All Themed Lands

California Adventure is a unique park in that it is home to several themed “lands” including Cars Land, Avengers Campus, Pixar Pier, San Fransokyo Square, and Buena Vista Street. Each of these areas is expertly themed and truly transports you to the land they belong to, and each area deserves to be explored to its fullest. In order to truly experience the entire park you must give yourself more than one day to see it all.

Cars Land is a wonderful area that transports guests to Radiator Springs. With a full-scale replica of Radiator Springs as well as three attractions and several places to eat, Cars Land should not be skipped! Avengers Campus is not only home to Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission: Breakout, but also to interactive meet-and-greets with your favorite superheroes and exciting shopping opportunities for Avengers merch you can’t find anywhere else. San Fransokyo Square pays tribute to the neighborhood of Big Hero 6. Guests can meet Baymax and Hiro, and experience exciting dining opportunities as well. Pixar Pier, home of the Incredicoaster, is a great spot to take the Pixar fan in your family. Pixar Pier is complete with several attractions including Toy Story Midway Mania and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind.

Take Time To Enjoy The Shows

California Adventure is home to many thrill rides, gentle rides, and fun for all ages. But it is also home to several shows and experiences as well. At California Adventure guests can enjoy entertainment around every corner. Experiences like the Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off bring your favorite characters to the stage with an interactive dance party. This provides guests the opportunity to interact with Star-Lord, Gamora, and even Groot on an up-close and personal level. Avengers Headquarters is a great place to find shows that star everyone’s favorite superheroes like Iron Man, Black Panther, Thor, and more. Spiderman himself stars in an action-packed experience near Web Slingers that you won’t want to miss! At Ancient Sanctum, Dr. Strange demonstrates the powers of the Orb of Cagliostro.

Overall, California Adventure has many shows and character experiences that you won’t want to miss out on by only allowing yourself one day to experience it all!

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel

If you plan on staying at The Grand Californian Hotel then you might want to allow yourself more than one day at California Adventure as well. This resort is in very close proximity to the park, just a short walk away. This is great for guests who might want to retreat back to their resort for a midday break, especially families with children who need to nap in the afternoons! Not only does The Grand Californian Hotel offer easy access to California Adventure, but it also allows guests to enter the park before it opens. If you are staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel then you’ll want to take advantage of these perks by visiting California Adventure more than once during your vacation!
