The Best “Grown Up” Specialty Beverages at Walt Disney World

Trader Sam's

Planning a Disney vacation can be stressful. Waking up early, standing in lines, sometimes you just need a moment to sit back and unwind. Lucky for you, Walt Disney World has a wide assortment of amazing “Grown Up” specialty cocktails! Whatever you fancy, there’s a location in the parks that has just the beverage for you. Park by park, I’ll share some of my recommendations for drinks that are a MUST TRY on your next trip! The only exception being Magic Kingdom, where if you’re looking for an alcoholic beverage you will have to dine at one of the incredible sit down restaurants that park has to offer.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A lot of people think EPCOT is the best place to drink when given the option of the four parks, but I have to disagree. The drinks at EPCOT are great, but my favorites currently reside at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Starting in Toy Story Land, a current go to is the “Grown-Up’s Lemonade”. This refreshing, alcoholic twist on a summer classic goes perfect with a lunch at Woody’s Lunchbox! The drink consists of “Cherry Vodka, Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, and Black Cherry Puree” and is a must on a hot Orlando day (which is most of them)!

You can not go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios without visiting Baseline Tap House on Grand Avenue! This bar has plenty of craft beer and wine on tap, but the shining star in my opinion is the California Sunset. This is one of my favorite drinks in all four parks. The California Sunset contains “Absolut Vodka, Southern Comfort, Orange Juice, Sweet-and-Sour with a float of Pomegranate Juice”.

If you are a Star Wars fan of any age (in this case 21+, but there’s plenty of fun mocktails here as well!) Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge should be at the top of your list. This bar can get packed very fast, so I highly recommend a reservation in advance or checking the Walk-up list on the My Disney Experience app throughout the day. It’s hard to narrow down which drink to recommend, but if you are going to choose just one, the “Fuzzy Tauntaun” is a staple of Oga’s. “Ketel One Botanical Peach & Orange Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps Liqueur, Orange Juice with Tangerine, Pure Cane Sugar, and ‘Buzz Button Tingling’ Foam”. You’re probably wondering, “What was that last ingredient” ? The Fuzzy Tauntaun is topped with a foam that makes your lips tingle and go numb! It’s a really fun addition to an already great drink and is sure to be a hit with your party!

Animal Kingdom

If you’re looking to have a WILD time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, look no further than this guide! This park is home to one of my favorite immersive lands ever, Pandora – The World of Avatar. At Pongu Pongu, a snack and drink stand by Windtraders and Satu’li Canteen, you’ll find the “Mo’ara Margarita”! This could be just personal experience, but this is one of the strongest drinks I’ve ever had on Disney property. This delicious frozen margarita consists of  “Sauza Conmemorativo Añejo Tequila and Bols Blue Curaçao with Lime Juice topped with Boba Balls”. Like Pandora, this drink is out of this world.

Taking the bridge to Africa out of Pandora, you’ll eventually find yourself at the Dawa Bar. When there, be sure to order the Ngumu Jungle Juice. This is on the sweeter side,  with ingredients like “Snow Leopard Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps and Tusker’s famous Jungle Juice”, If you’re not familiar with Jungle Juice, it’s a mixture of Passion Fruit, Orange and Guava… and it’s delicious!

Back near the main entrance of Panodra, you’ll find Tiffins. Attached to Tiffins is the Nomad Lounge. I could write an essay about how much I adore this spot’s snacks, drinks, and atmosphere, but you’re here for the drinks, and I don’t blame you. Once you have a seat at the lounge, you need to order a “Lamu Libation”, it’s a must! This drink includes “Starr African Rum, Cruzan Banana Rum, and Guava Purée with Orange, Lime, and Pineapple Juices topped with Gosling’s 151 Rum” and trust me, you’ll only need the one! That drink alone will have you saying “Another round of churros please”! Side Note: Nomad Lounge Churros might be the best churros in the entire resort, they are scrumptious!

EPCOT

You know I had to save the best for last! People book trips to Walt Disney World just to visit EPCOT and participate in “Drinking Around the World”. World Showcase features food and drinks that can be found in the 11 pavilions representing different countries from across the globe.

Can you go to EPCOT and not get a margarita in Mexico? The answer is no. The popular choice seems to be a frozen margarita at Choza de Margarita, which you can get in Classic Lime, Mango Loco, Strawberry, or Fiesta which is a combination of the three.

Depending how fast you drink this, you’ll be ready for another beverage in Germany, home to the Grapefruit Beer! No don’t click off just yet, I know what you’re thinking. I don’t like grapefruit, or beer for that matter, but this drink is genuinely very delicious. I had an entire pint of at a recent dinner inside of Biergarten, Germany’s buffet style restuarant, and I was in shock with how good it was. It’s worth the try!

In America, the famous “Moonshine Sour” can be ordered at the Regal Eagle outside bar.  Making up this fan favorite beverage is “Ole Smoky Blackberry Moonshine, Blood Orange, Blackberry, and Lemon”.

Just beacuse it’s EPCOT I’ll throw in an extra drink, another one of my all time favorites! In the middle of the Japan Pavilion there’s a sake stand, and the Violet Sake is the shining star. This drink tastes like a liquified Grape Jolly Rancher! If you were going to get only one drink at Epcot, this is the one I would choose

There are plenty of incredible places in the resort to find fun adult beverages! This doesn’t even include the resorts and Disney Springs! I hope this list helps you find a new favorite go-to drink or maybe even steer you in the direction of a hidden gem!
