In my eyes, it’s indisputable. Walt Disney World is the absolute best place to have a date night! Going there for a night with your loved one, well the magic is just unmatched! Any vibe you are going for, whether it’s a romantic night out or just for the sake of spending time together, you’ll not regret choosing Disney. If you’re here on a vacation or maybe even a local, I’ll run down each park showcasing what I think is the best way to go about Disney date night! Next on our list, is EPCOT!
Food and Drinks
When you hear the name “EPCOT” your first thought might be all the different kinds of food from across the world. If your first thought was the drinks, that’s understandable too, I don’t judge! EPCOT’s table service restaurants have great atmosphere, making for some of Walt Disney World’s most romantic places to have a meal. Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada pavilion comes to mind. I had my anniversary dinner here this past year with my significant other, and it really surpassed expectations. I had visited before with friends, but celebrating a special occasion with someone you’re close with really brought the whole vibe together.
If the date you’re going on is more casual, might I recommend going to the different festival food booths across World Showcase. More often than not, EPCOT is home to a festival that showcases all kinds of food and beverages. Take a leisurely stroll trying and sharing snacks that catch your eyes, this brings a more lighthearted approach to dining for those who are maybe just starting their journey together. If you and your partner don’t have very adventurous palates, do not worry. Restuarants like Space 220 combines fine dining with a more recognizable menu. It’s a gorgeous place to sit and get to know each other, and your date will be bragging to their friends about how you brought them to Space!
Rides
EPCOT has a lot of very slow moving dark rides. This comes in handy when you’re looking for something easy to do after having a big meal! Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, and The Seas with Nemo and Friends offer a cozy ride to get close to your date and enjoy the scenery around you. If you’re hoping to add some thrills to the evening, Guardians of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Test Track (reopening Summer 2025) are perfect moments to hold on to each other for dear life and you race through space or along a simulated test environment.
Activities
Say you and your date are looking to do something that isn’t a ride to have some fun. EPCOT is probably the park with the most amount of “activities”. Most require a small up-charge, like the Festival scavenger hunts. These consist of getting a map and trying to find a character, whether it’s Remy during Food & Wine or Olaf during Festival of The Holidays! Make it a fun game on who can find more of them before the map is completed. Once you complete the map you can trade it in for a prize, and if you want some extra brownie points, you should probably give it to your date! The festivals also offer food based “scavenger hunts”.
During Food & Wine they have Emile’s Fromage Montage, where you try a variety of cheese based items across the festival, getting your Festival Passport stamped at each location. When you’re finished you’ll get a special treat only for those who have completed the quest! Each festival has it’s own quest to embark on, so be on the lookout for whatever time of year you might visit during
At the end of the day, nobody knows your connection like you two! No matter what you end up doing, it’ll be special because you’re creating memories only you two could make. I would love to hear about your most memorable Disney date in the comments!
