How To Add To Your Friends & Family List Using The My Disney Experience App

In order to check the Walt Disney World theme park hours on the My Disney Experience app, you will need the following:

• A smartphone with the My Disney Experience App installed
• An active internet connection

To get started, you will need to download and open the My Disney Experience app. The app is available on both iOS and Android platforms.

Installing My Disney Experience On iOS

Click the button below to open the App App Store, and tap the blue “Get” button.

Installing My Disney Experience On Android

Click the button below to open the Google Play Store, and tap the green “Install” button.

To begin adding Friends and Family members to your Disney account, open up the My Disney Experience app and make sure you’re signed in. Once you’re signed in, tap on the three lines in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. This will open up the main menu. From here, you will need to scroll down and tap on the “My Account” option.

This will open your account settings, and the “My Profile” tab will be selected by default. You will now want to tap on the Friends & Family list tab that is on the top right-hand corner of the app.

On the Friends & Family tab, you will see a list of Friends and Family members that have been added to your account. If this is your first time adding Friends and Family members, the list will be empty. Next, you will want to tap on the “Add A Guest” button.

There are currently three options for locating a specific guest and adding them to your Friends & Family list:

Find Through My Connected Guests

If you have already added Friends and Family members to your account, you will see the names and avatar photos of their Friends & Family listed here. To add a new guest, tap on the checkbox that is located to the left of their name & photo, then tap the blue “Add Guest” button at the bottom of the screen.

Scan Their Linking Code

If you’re just starting your Friends & Family list, one of the easiest ways to add another guest to your list is to simply scan a linking code that they will provide from their My Disney Experience app.

Retrieve Your QR Code

To retrieve your QR Code to be scanned by a family member or friend simply follow the steps listed below:

1. Open your My Disney Experience App, scroll to the bottom, and click on the “My Profile”
2. Scroll all the way down and tap on “Show My Linking Code”
3. The QR Code will appear and can be scanned by your family member or friend

Scan Someone Else’s QR Code

If you want to scan someone else into your group you would simply follow these steps.

1. Open your My Disney Experience App, scroll to the bottom, and click on the “My Profile”
2. Next click on the “Family & Friends List”
3. Click on the plus sign that says “Add a Guest”
4. Select the option to “Scan their linking code”

Once the code has been scanned, the two Disney accounts will now be linked together on their Friends & Family list.

I’ll Enter Their Name And Age

If you’re just starting your Friends & Family list, and don’t have a code to scan for another guest, you can manually enter another guest’s information to add them to your list. You will need to enter the following information:

• Title
• First Name*
• Middle Initial
• Last Name*
• Suffix
• Age*
• Birthday

Items with an asterisk (*) next to them are required fields. Birthdays are required for guests age 17 and younger.

Once an invitation to connect is accepted, you and the Guest you’ve inviting will be able to add activities for each other and share each other’s plans.

That Guest will also be able to see:

• Your full name
• Your selected character image Your Disney PhotoPass photos and other digital content
• Your itinerary items
• Your age (or “18+”)

The Guest you invite will also be able to see the full names, character images and ages (or “18+”) of your family and friends (unless you decide to keep your friend list private).

Please note: when linking to a child (age 12 and under) in the Play Disney Parks app, your full name will be shared with the child’s parent or guardian.
