Exploring Adventureland – Magic Kingdom

As you make your way down Main Street U.S.A. and head toward the left, you’ll find yourself crossing a bridge into Adventureland. Adventureland is a land within Magic Kingdom that has some great personal touches from Walt himself with several original park attractions. Adventureland boasts a spirit of exploration and the wild unknown. Guests will find so much to do and see as they experience this area. Continue reading was we explore Adventureland.

Attractions

Pirates of the Caribbean– This classic Disney attraction takes guests on a slow-moving water ride that explore what a pirate’s life might have looked like. As guests journey through the attraction they might find themselves singing along to the classic tune “A Pirate’s Life for Me”. Several audio-animatronics adorn the attraction, and newer scenes featuring Captain Jack Sparrow and “Redd” the pirate entertain guests of all ages.

Jungle Cruise– Another classic attraction that originally debuted in Disneyland is Jungle Cruise. Jungle Cruise is an attraction that is made famous by its skippers who crack jokes throughout the tour.

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin– Guests can take flight upon a magic carpet for this attraction and soar either high or low. This attraction is great for guests of all ages and heights.

Swiss Family Treehouse– This unique walkthrough attraction takes guests through a model of the Swiss Family treehouse from the classic Disney film: Swiss Family Robinson. Guests will climb stairs and explore the various rooms of the treehouse. Guests must be able to ascend several sets of stairs for this experience.

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room– Walt Disney himself designed the Enchanted Tiki Room show. Audio-animatronic birds, the first of their kind, sing happy tunes during this show. The show remains original to the show that debuted in 1971 making it one of the oldest attractions in the park.

Dining

Aloha Isle Refreshments-The popular Dole Whip can be found at Aloha Isle Refreshments alongside other tropical floats and ice cream creations.

Sunshine Tree Terrace– More Dole Whip creations and floats can be found at Sunshine Tree Terrace, including Dole Whip Orange Cups, and Dole Whip Strawberry Cups.

Tortuga Tavern-This quick-service restaurant serves delicious barbecue pork sandwiches, orange chicken strips, and other unique creations.

Skipper Canteen– If you are looking for a sit-down restaurant, Skipper Canteen is themed after the Jungle Cruise and serves unique entrees like lambchops and curry stew. This restaurant features fun references to the attraction throughout the dining room, and your servers take on the role of Jungle skipper.

Characters and Entertainment

Aladdin and Jasmine- Aladdin and Jasmin can be found doing meet and greets near The Magic Carpets of Aladdin attraction.

Captain Jack Sparrow- Captain Jack Sparrow can occasionally be found near the stage just outside of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. However, this meet and greet is not scheduled and this character appearance has become more rare throughout the years. Guests have a better chance of meeting Captain Jack during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party events.
