Before heading out for a long day in the parks, it’s important to get your morning started off right: with breakfast! Disney World certainly knows how to serve up the most important meal of the day, offering tasty treats (such as the iconic Mickey waffles) and a magical ambiance in their many different eateries.
Some of the best breakfast options in Disney World are located within DVC resorts, offering both a convenient and delicious way to start the day. Check out our list of the best DVC resort breakfast locations!
Topolino’s Terrace – The Riviera
The elegant European style of the Riviera Resort offers the perfect setting for one of the most popular breakfast locations in Disney World: Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera serves up both breakfast and dinner, but the “Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends” is perhaps the real star of the show. You can order from a delicious prix-fixe menu while enjoying the company of Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy in their Riviera attire. After breakfast, you can hop on the Skyliner and head right over to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios.
Steakhouse 71 – The Contemporary/Bay Lake Tower
Conveniently located in the main A-frame tower of the Contemporary Resort (adjacent to Bay Lake Tower), Steakhouse 71 offers a family-friendly, mid-century modern feel and a menu featuring some of Walt Disney’s own favorites. You’ll find plenty of savory options, as well as popular beverages (both alcoholic and non). This is also a convenient location to start your morning before heading to Magic Kingdom for the day (only a 5-10 minute walk away!).
‘Ohana – The Polynesian
The Polynesian Village Resort is home to some of the most popular dining locations on Disney World property, from hidden tiki bars to a Dole Whip quick service spot. Among these fan-favorite restaurants is ‘Ohana: during breakfast, you can enjoy hearty all-you-care-to-enjoy platters with scrambled eggs, sausage, ham with pineapple compote, potatoes, waffles and biscuits, as well as fruit and a pineapple-coconut breakfast bread. Breakfast is also the only time you can enjoy character dining here and meet Lilo, Stitch and Mickey in his Polynesian attire.
Grand Floridian Cafe – The Grand Floridian
At the Grand Floridian Resort you will find Victorian-inspired elegance in both its rooms and restaurants. The Grand Floridian Cafe offers sophistication and casual comfort for a family-friendly meal, with a reliably delicious menu of American breakfast classics. The breakfast menu features starters, salads, classic entrees, benedicts, pancakes, french toast, waffles, and even desserts. This is another great breakfast option to start the day before visiting Magic Kingdom (an easy walk or monorail ride away).
Cape May Cafe – The Beach Club
For a breakfast buffet option, head to Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club Resort. You’ll find charming seaside decor, an extensive buffet of breakfast classics and an underrated character dining experience. “Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast” menu features waffles, eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, pastries, bacon, sausage and more. The Beach Club is also a short walk to the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT; enjoy an early breakfast reservation at Cape May Cafe, then head right over to EPCOT to beat the crowds and get in line for your favorite rides!
