Best Attractions for Cooling Down at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

DAK

Staying cool during hot Florida days is essential when visiting Disney World. The summer and fall months average high temperatures in the upper-90s, and even the winter months can see their fair share of hot days. In order to manage the heat guests should drink plenty of water, dress lightly, and take frequent breaks in the shade and air-conditioning. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a large park, and due to its dense plant life it tends to feel hotter than other parks. Because of the size of the park, guests might feel tired faster than they would at other parks. If you find yourself in need of air-conditioning during your visit to the parks, check out our list of the best attractions for cooling down at Animal Kingdom.

Conservation Station

Located in Rafiki’s Planet Watch, Conservation Station is not only a place to cool down but also a fun educational experience for all. Here, guests can enjoy the air-conditioning while they get a closer look at the animal habitats that exist within the parks, and can view veterinary care and nutrition care, as well as views of the science labs. Guests can also have fun exploring the reptile house and viewing various amphibians and insects.

This attraction is quite the water ride and features big splashes. You won’t exit this attraction dry so be prepared to be soaked.
