Walt Disney World is home to so many different types of incredible attractions. From slow moving dark rides like Peter Pan’s Flight to the immersive action packed ones like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. There’s something for the whole family, young and old! Some rides, however, might lead to some apprehensive potential riders. The thrill rides of Walt Disney World are exciting experiences for anybody building up the courage to ride them. Younger guests might be scared, but fear not, we are here to help! We have put together a guide to the thrill rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, in an attempt to introduce these exhilarating attractions to those who might be intrigued by them.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has two big thrill rides, possibly the most intense on property. If you’ve realized your kids are becoming thrill seekers, this is the place to be! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is a high speed limo ride through a Los Angeles freeway. You’ll be launched at 57 mph within 3 seconds to the tune of Aerosmith! It’s perfect for those who might think the other coasters weren’t fast enough! Those locking to go backstage with Aerosmith must be 48 inches or taller.
Tower of Terror
Also on Sunset Boulevard is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Different from the other thrill rides at Disney World, this spooky ride takes you up and down a haunted service elevator at The Hollywood Tower Hotel. The feeling in your stomach from dropping isn’t for everyone, so I recommend riding Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance first. This is a mind blowing experience for any Star Wars fan. The ride takes you aboard a First Order Star Destroyer, and while the ride itself isn’t very fast, it does end with a small drop! See if you can handle that drop first, and then assess to see if Tower of Terror is right for you! Before checking into your stay, make sure hotel guests are 40 inches or taller.
The rides at the Walt Disney World resort are all thrilling in their own way. Excitement and joy is sprinkled throughout the entire resort. Whether you’re on a slow moving tour of a Haunted Mansion or your elevator dropping 13 floors at the Hollywood Tower Hotel, there really is something for everybody. I hope this guide brings out the potential thrill seekers in your family and that the smiles on everyone’s faces after the rides is a thrill in and of itself!
