Extra time in the Walt Disney World Parks is something on every guest’s Disney wish list. While all on-property resorts and villas receive early entry 30 minutes prior to park opening, extended evening hours is an exclusive perk reserved just for guests of Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts. Scheduled in advance on specific days of the week, guests of these resorts have the opportunity to stay in the park to enjoy the magic after normal operating hours, taking advantage of low crowds and short wait times for rides and select attractions. While extended evening hours are regularly scheduled for Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, for the first time in almost forever, Walt Disney World has included extended evening hours for Animal Kingdom during the last quarter of 2023.
Scheduled on November 8, November 22, December 4 and December 28, 2023 for the hours of 8:00PM to 10:00PM, guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas may remain to admire the beauty of this uniquely immersive theme park as well as ride some of the Animal Kingdom’s most popular attractions. If you plan to attend extended evening hours at Animal Kingdom, you can expect to experience the following attractions:
- Avatar Flight of Passage
- DINOSAUR
- Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
- It’s Tough to be a Bug!
- Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventurers Outpost
- Na’vi River Journey
- TriceraTop Spin
In addition to these amazing attractions, select dining and merchandise locations will also remain open for guests to grab one of the many scrumptious snacks available at Animal Kingdom and shop the unique souvenirs found in this park.
Once you have visited your favorite spots during the two extra hours, don’t forget to reserve some time to appreciate the beauty of the land of Pandora at night. The vegetation and water features of this imaginary-land-brought-to-life are even more stunning after the sun goes down. And before leaving the park, you must stop to admire the Tree of Life after dark. The intricacies and wonder of this structure shine even stronger in the soft glow of the illuminating lights.
