Many exciting changes are coming to The Walt Disney World Resort, and they’re just around the corner! Some of these announcements bring back the old, and some start something new, and either way, it’s time to get excited over these magical updates!
1. Overnight self-parking will be complimentary for guests staying at Disney Resort Hotels.
In 2018 Walt Disney World originally made the change to start charging their hotel guests for overnight parking. Starting today, January 10, 2023, that has come to a halt immediately. That’s right! Parking is free again when you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort! Hotel guests can also park at any of the Disney World theme parks and water parks complimentary. This effort was made to help reduce the cost of Disney vacations.
2. Disney World Passholders will soon be able to visit theme parks after 2 PM without a reservation.
Are you an annual passholder that misses having spontaneous trips to the parks? In the next few months, annual passholders will be allowed to visit any of the four Walt Disney World parks without a reservation after 2 PM. This change will not be made to Saturdays and Sundays or dates that your annual pass is already blocked out. Make sure to keep your eye out for an announcement date. We will share it on our website and Instagram as soon as it’s public knowledge.
3. Attraction photo downloads will soon be included with Disney Genie+ service.
The last announcement will excite those who love using Genie+ or plan to use it on their next vacation. Instead of only booking attractions, you can now get downloads of all your attraction photos! You’ll be able to access your digital downloads on My Disney Experience from attractions like Space Moutain, Expedition Everest, and so much more. This update allows you to keep some memories from parts of your favorite vacation experiences and no extra cost!
