Did you know that Disney World is home to a massive shopping and entertainment center? Disney Springs is free to enter, and contains dozens of stores, activities, bars, and restaurants. Disney Springs is a great place to go to kill time during your check-in, or check-out day, and also a fun place to visit during any day you have off from visiting the parks. Many guests visit Disney Springs to shop, however there is so much more to Disney Springs than stores. 1. Vintage Amphicar Tours
Located at The Landing, this unique experience allows guests to take a ride in an amphicar. This rare and vintage-looking vehicle can drive on land and in water. Guests are invited aboard the vessel that is guided by a captain and taken on a 20-minute tour of Lake Buena Vista. This experience costs $125 per car which seats 3-4 guests. Tours can be booked from 10am-10pm, weather permitting.
2. Splitsville Luxury Lanes
Not many guests realize that Disney Springs is home to a bowling venue. Guests and their families can bowl to their heart’s content while enjoying a meal and snacks at this upscale yet retro bowling alley. Splitsville Luxury Lanes can be reserved ahead of time by calling (407) 938-7467 or reserving online. This experience is great for families with children of all ages, and makes for a great first-time bowling experience as well!
3. Amorette’s Patisserie Cake Decorating Experience
Guests who are interested in a hands-on experience will love booking the Amorette’s Patisserie Cake Decorating Experience at Disney Springs. Guests can learn how to decorate either a Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse dome cake, depending on which day their lesson is. This 90 minute lesson is done in a group setting, with one reservation accommodating up to 2 guests. Guests are able to sip on refreshments of coffee, tea, and select alcoholic beverages during this experience. At the end of the lesson, your cake is packaged so you can take it back with you to your home or resort. The cost for this experience is $199 plus tax, and includes one cake and two guests. Parties with more than 2 guests must make additional reservations.
4. Meet the Coca-Cola Bear
Disney Springs is home to a large Coca-Cola Store, and within this store guests can meet the Coca-Cola Bear. The Coca-Cola Bear lives on the second floor of the store and is available for meet and greets and photos throughout the day. If you or your children love meeting characters, then they will love this experience as well.
5. Aerophile
A truly one-of-a-kind experience exists within Disney Springs. Aerophile- The World Leader in Balloon Flight, is a thrilling tethered ride in the world’s largest helium balloon. This experience takes guests up to 400 feet in the air as they can catch views of up to 10 miles away. Each flight can hold up to 29 people and 1 pilot, and lasts for 8 minutes. This experience is currently priced at $29.99 per adult and $24.99 for children between the ages of 4 and 9.
