Underrated Restaurants at Magic Kingdom

Beast's Castle

During your Disney vacation planning you probably come across the same recommendations for Magic Kingdom again and again. Things like must-do attractions, snacks, and dining tend to be recommended and repeated during vacation planning discussions. While it is true that attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and restaurants like Cinderella’s Royal Table are incredible experiences, there are still many other experiences available that shouldn’t be overlooked. If you are planning a visit to Disney World and wish to experience incredible dining that isn’t typically on everyone’s radar, then check out these underrated restaurants at Magic Kingdom.

The Plaza Restaurant

If you are looking for casual dining in a charming setting than look no further than The Plaza Restaurant. Tucked away on Main Street U.S.A., The Plaza Restaurant is a cute parlor-style restaurant that fits in well with the early 1900s style of Main Street. The decor here consists of intricate lighting fixtures and mirrors as well as wrought iron tables and chairs. The menu at The Plaza Restaurant offers hearty yet sophisticated meals like the Chicken Waldorf Salad, the Triple Decker Turkey Club Sandwich, the Crab Cake Sandwich, and Home-style Meatloaf. Guests can enjoy artisanal milkshakes, sundaes, or a banana split for dessert. This restaurant serves great food in a great setting yet is often overlooked and most definitely underrated!

Pinocchio Village Haus

Another quick-service restaurant that tends to fly under the radar is Pinocchio Village Haus. This charming restaurant gives guests an incredible view of the loading station for “it’s a small world” while they are surrounded by nods to the Pinocchio movie. The food here is good and includes a variety of flatbread pizzas, perfect for picky eaters and foodies alike. Guests can also choose from Caesar Salads or chicken strips if they aren’t fans of pizza. Breadsticks, tomato soup, and fries are also available as sides. Pinocchio Village Haus is currently offering a Key Lime Pie Tart for dessert.

Liberty Tree Tavern

One of Magic Kingdom’s best sit-down restaurants that doesn’t get nearly enough credit is Liberty Tree Tavern. While there aren’t any characters that make appearances here like you would find at Crystal Palace or Cinderella’s Royal Table, this restaurant makes up for it with its incredible menu. Liberty Tree Tavern is an all-you-care-to-enjoy feast of Thanksgiving favorites like Turkey, pot roast, pork, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, stuffing, and macaroni and cheese. For dessert, guests will be enchanted by the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. Specialty cocktails and alcoholic beverages are served here as well. Once you eat at Liberty Tree Tavern you might find yourself returning during your next vacation!
