The Ultimate Disney World Stroller Guide

Disney Stroller

Traveling to Disney with children can be a magical and fulfilling experience. There is a bit more planning when children are involved, but Disney makes it easy with its many accommodations for families. If your children are of stroller age you might find yourself wondering what your options are and how to easily navigate the parks with them. Disney World is designed for stroller use and accessibility options are everywhere! If you have an upcoming vacation to Disney World then be sure to check out our ultimate Disney World stroller guide.

Stroller Options

When it comes to strollers at Disney World you have several options. Guests are welcome to bring their own strollers but Disney does have a few rules in place. Strollers must not be larger than 31 inches in width and 52 inches in length, and stroller wagons are not permitted in any Disney parks. If your stroller does not adhere to these guidelines then you might want to consider renting a stroller instead. Some guests also prefer to not travel with their stroller as it can be difficult to pack and take up too much space during your travels.

Disney makes renting strollers easy. Single strollers can be rented for $15 per day or $13 per day for the entire length of your stay. Double strollers can be rented for $31 per day or $27 per day for the entire length of your stay. When renting strollers from Disney they cannot be removed from the parks. Strollers must be returned by the end of the day and if guests have purchased a multiday stroller rental then the receipt must be presented each day upon pickup.

Another option for stroller rental is to use a third party rental company offsite. ScooterBug is a Disney featured provider that offers stroller rentals as well as ECV and mobility device rentals. Guests can get more information on ScooterBug by contacting Guest Services. Other stroller rental companies throughout Orlando such as Kingdom Strollers offer delivery to Disney resorts. One benefit of renting third party is that you can take your stroller back to your resort with you at the end of the day.

Strollers on Disney Transportation

Strollers are welcome on all forms of Disney transportation. When riding the Disney busses, all strollers must be folded up prior to boarding. Guests should familiarize themselves with how to quickly fold their stroller in order to avoid any delays in boarding the bus. All strollers are welcome to board the monorail without being folded, and little ones can remain in their stroller during the ride. Disney Skyliner allows single strollers to ride unfolded, however double strollers must be folded prior to boarding. Strollers are not permitted on escalators whatsoever, and strollers must be folded while riding parking lot trams.

Stroller Parking Tips

Strollers cannot be taken through queue lines for attractions and cannot be taken to any shows. There is designated stroller parking available throughout all of the Disney parks. You can find stroller parking by looking for stroller parking signs or by asking a nearby Cast Member for assistance. If you return to where you parked your stroller and find that it is no longer there, do not panic! Cast Members routinely reorganize stroller parking during busy hours in order to achieve maximum efficiency. Look around nearby areas and ask a Cast Member for assitance if you are having any difficulties finding your stroller.

Other Stroller Tips

Some additional stroller tips to keep in mind are:

  • Tie a balloon to your stroller so you can easily spot it from far away
  • Decorate your stroller to make it stand out in the crowd
  • Don’t leave any valuables unattended in your stroller
  • Bring a rain cover for your stroller just in case
  • Attach a portable fan to the front of your stroller so your child stays cool
  • Bring a stroller hook for attaching bags
  • Don’t drape blankets or towels over your stroller; this traps heat and humidity inside and can be dangerous for your child
