Attraction Overview

While the art of animation has evolved over the years, the design of each character, set, and scene in animated films still begins with paper and pencil. Become an animator yourself by visiting The Animation Experience at Conservation Station and learn how real live animals influence the animator’s design. Watch a brief video presentation introducing the animal and learn essential facts about its species. Next, follow along with the instructor as they present live step-by-step instructions to create a sketch of a well-known animal character with the cast member-provided pencil and paper. A video projection of the animator’s hand and paper are displayed in the room making it easy for all attendees to view the expert in action.
