Pedestrian Walkway Closed Between Polynesian & Grand Floridian Resorts

Grand-Floridian-Resort-Spa-4-3

The pedestrian path that offers a convenient link between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is currently out of service. The closure is due to the ongoing construction work on the new Disney Vacation Club tower at the Polynesian Resort. This new tower is set to be an exciting addition to the resort, promising more accommodation options for Disney Vacation Club members.

Signs, Cones & Temporary Fencing

The path’s closure is clearly marked by A-frame signs positioned at both ends of the walkway. In addition to these signs, cones and temporary fencing have been set up further down the path to ensure the safety of guests and prevent any accidental trespassing into the construction zone.

Despite the inconvenience this may cause to some guests, it’s essential to note that Disney always prioritizes the safety of its visitors. The closure of this path is a measure taken to ensure that guests are kept at a safe distance from the construction site.

Alternate Modes Of Transportation

Unfortunately, Disney has not yet provided a timeline for when the walkway will reopen. This means guests will need to use alternative routes to move between the two resorts for the time being. These could include using the monorail system or resort buses.

Small Inconvenience, Big New DVC Tower

While this may add a little extra time to your commute, it’s a small price to pay for the exciting new developments happening at the Polynesian Resort. We look forward to seeing the finished Disney Vacation Club tower and the reopening of the pedestrian path in the future!

As always, stay tuned to the DVC Shop blog for all the latest developments for Disney theme parks and all the information you could ever need about the Disney Vacation Club resorts.
