My Favorite Month to Visit Disney World And Why

I could visit Disney any month of the year and have a magical time! It is hard to choose a favorite month, between special holiday months, cool weather months, festivals and more. But, there are is one month that is my absolute favorite month to visit and I have quite a few reasons why! What is my favorite month you ask? Drum roll please… February! Yes, maybe an odd one when you think of MNSSHP and MVMCP, but I swear I have some good reasons why. So let’s dive in to my favorite month to visit Disney World, and why!

The Weather

In my opinion, in February you just can’t beat the weather Florida gives you! It isn’t cold anymore, so you don’t have to worry about needing to change, maybe a light sweatshirt helps, but never enough to give you a chill. During the day you are never too hot, the rays send just enough warmth your way to sport your favorite Disney t-shirt, but still wear your beloved Disney leggings if you desire. February doesn’t bring a lot of rain to Florida during this month either, so really you usually have a safe bet on getting the perfect Disney weather when you choose this month to go!

Lower Crowds

Every month has certain lower crowd weeks, but February I find the lowest. Stay clear from President’s Day, but other than that February is usually a slower time to go. We have gone several times in the month of February, and each time we have been able to stroll through the parks with ease, get the Lightening Lane’s we desire, and never feel rushed. If you can make this month work, give it a try in hopes of getting a low crowds week! Always be sure to check out helpful crowd watching websites, there is usually a couple of weeks in February to choose from that will be at Disney’s lowest!

Water Parks Open

If you can time it right, since February is a short month, wait it out to spend the first day of March at Disney because that is typically around the time the waterparks open, and the crowds for it are super low! We always time our February trip to be at the end of the month, and then we end our trip whirling down the water slides! What a fun way to end your Disney vacation, while also welcoming Spring which is right around the corner at that time.

The Festivals & Marathons

There is always a fun festival of some sort going on at any given point at Disney. February brings some of my favorite. This past February was the International Flower Garden Festival. We had so much fun gazing at all the fun floral gardens and statues. We have also been during Epcot’s incredible Festival of the Arts!

If you love running, or enjoy watching a bunch of people dressed in Disney costumes run, February is a great month for you! February hosts Disney’s Princess half marathon. It is such a fun event and even fun as a spectator! This can bring the crowds, so we usually plan our trip towards the end of it, but I love walking through the parks and congratulating those who bare the gorgeous marathon medals the runners wear!

February was the month we took our very first ever Disney trip as a family, so I am also partial because that time of year brings great memories! It is also my son’s birthday month, so going to celebrate him turning another year older attributes to my love for this month at Disney. But also, you just can’t beat the weather, crowds, going to the water parks, the festivals and marathons. Disney in February will always be my favorite, and I hope you will visit during this fantastic time too, and love it just as much!
