Halloween At Disney World: Trip Planning Guide

Halloween at Disney World

Halloween is one of the best times of the year to visit Disney World: not only does the Halloween season start early and last long in Orlando, but Disney World goes all-out with their fall decor, special events and tasty treats.

Book Your Resort Now!

If you have not yet secured your resort reservation for your Halloween season trip, make sure to do so soon. Staying on-site at a Disney resort is the best way to ensure you can absorb all the magic and entertainment during this time of year, as well as take advantage of exclusive Disney resort benefits

Attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

A major reason many visit Disney World during Halloween is to experience Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP). This special ticketed event runs on select nights from August 11 to November 1, giving guests plenty of opportunities to get in on the fun; but don’t wait too long to get your tickets, because in 2022 every event date eventually sold out!

MNSSHP has many special highlights including Mickey’s Halloween “Boo-to-You” parade, the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular” stage show, the “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show, free trick-or-treating, rare character photo opportunities, dance parties, limited-time specialty treats and much more. It can be difficult to get to it all in a single night, so be strategic about what you want to experience!

Keep an eye on our blog for more MNSSHP 2023 news, and check out our tips from last year’s event!

Check Out The Autumn Decor

Each year, Disney World goes all-out with their autumn decorations. As you are on your trip, make sure to check out the special seasonal details: there are garden displays, decorations in autumn colors, carved pumpkins and more all around the parks and resorts.

Main Street U.S.A in Magic Kingdom feels especially festive during the Halloween season. The autumn bunting and pumpkin displays around the storefronts are worth stopping to notice! You can also catch a performance of the Dapper Dans in their autumn attire during this season.

Visit EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival

During your Halloween season visit, make sure to plan a day at EPCOT to experience the International Food & Wine Festival. This popular annual festival features limited-time entertainment, merchandise, experiences and of course, plenty of food and beverage booths.

The festival runs from July 27 to November 18. This year’s booths are anticipated to feature returning favorites and new specialties to try.

Stop by Disney Springs

Each year, Disney Springs features special offerings for the Halloween season. Make sure to swing by to check out their autumn decor, try some of the seasonal specialties at the many restaurants, and of course stock up on all your villainous merchandise! A visit to Disney Springs is perfect for a non-park day or evening.
