Disney park guests are about to see pricing changes to Disney’s Genie+ service at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. One park will see a flat rate price increase, while the other is moving to a variable price model.

Disneyland Resort’s Genie+ Pricing

In Disneyland Resort Genie+ will be increasing the daily price to $25 per person, per day. The service was previously a $20 per person, per day cost. Guests will note that Disney’s Genie+ service has always been more expensive in Disneyland Resort since the service at the California parks also includes PhotoPass, which is does not at Walt Disney World.

Disney World’s Genie+ Pricing

Walt Disney World Resort will be switching Genie+ to a variable pricing model. Effective today, Genie+ will cost anywhere between $15 and $22 per person per day (plus tax) depending on the date of guests’ visits. More popular times will now cost more to utilize the service.

In addition to the variable Genie+ pricing model, some of  the Individual Lightning Lane selections will also be switching prices around. For example, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will now see an Individual Lightning Lane cost of anywhere from $15 to $22 per person.

Day-By-Day Pricing For Disney World

Disney has stated that they will not be releasing a schedule of Genie+ pricing, but will instead be releasing the pricing on a day-by-day basis. Disney has not allowed guests to purchase Genie+ in advance since June, leaving guests to make that purchase the morning of their visit to the parks. Now guests will need to check the cost in the morning as well before booking the service.
