While planning your trip to Disney California Adventure you might find yourself overwhelmed by all of the decision-making! There is much to consider when planning a Disney vacation, and traveling with children adds another layer to your plans. Choosing dining experiences for your children can be complicated, especially if your child is a picky eater. Let us make it easier on you by sharing the best restaurants at California Adventure for children.
Angry Dogs
This quick-stop snack stand is perfect for the Pixar-lover in your family. Located on Pixar Pier, Anger from Inside-Out is the star of this hot dog stand. Guests have the option to choose from the Angry Dog, a spicy hot dog served with hot chips, or the Slightly Annoyed Dog, a non-spicy hot dog served with potato chips. This is a great spot to stop with kids because it’s near several of the attractions on Pixar Pier. Who doesn’t love hot dogs?
Flo’s V8 Cafe
This classic diner is inspired by the movie Cars. Flo’s V8 Cafe is perfect for children who love the film. Flo owns and operates this cafe, and her personal memorabilia can be found throughout. Classic American food is served at this diner with a fun Cars twist. Adult entrees include the Ka-cheeseburger, a beef burger with cheddar cheese and caramelized onions, Flo’s Famous Fried Chicken, and Ramone’s Low and Slow Club, a turkey breast and bacon club sandwich. Kids can choose from Chicken Fenders or Mac’s Mac n’ Cheese, and all guests can enjoy a milkshake for dessert.
Cozy Cone Motel
Another quick-service restaurant in Cars Land is Cozy Cone Motel. This familiar setting is serving up snacks and treats in 5 different Cones. Each cone features a different food item. Options include churros, ice cream cones, Chili Cone Queso, Frozen Cone Concoctions for adults 21 and over as well as chimichangas, and flavored popcorn. Seating is located outdoors in the center of the surrounding cones. This setting for dining is exciting for kids who are fans of the movie Cars.
Poultry Palace
Pixar Pier is also home to another lesser-known Toy Story reference: Poultry Palace. Children who are fans of the Toy Story short film “Small Fry” will appreciate this food stand. Poultry Palace serves chicken including a chicken drumstick box, jumbo smoked turkey leg, as well as buttered corn on the cob and chili-lime corn on the cob.
Aunt Cass Cafe
Big Hero 6 fans will appreciate the newly opened San Fransokyo Square at Disney’s California Adventure. Aunt Cass Cafe serves Asian-fusion food like a Shrimp Katsu sandwich and a Shrimp Soba Noodle Salad. Kids will appreciate the kids menu of turkey sandwiches and macaroni and cheese. For dessert, guests can either choose from Japanese-style fluffy cheesecake, or chocolate chip and sugar cookies. A special Baymax Sipper is also sold at this quick-service restaurant with your choice of beverage, as well as a selection of alcoholic beverages for adults.
