Not every day at Magic Kingdom has to be spent rushing from one popular attraction to another. Sometimes it can be nice to slow things down and enjoy the park without worrying about experiencing every ride before the end of the day. Magic Kingdom has several attractions that are perfect for a more relaxed park day, including longer rides, shows, and attractions that give you a chance to sit down and take a break. Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is one of the best attractions for slowing down during a busy Magic Kingdom day. Guests board continuously moving vehicles for a relaxing ride above Tomorrowland. Along the way, you’ll get views of several attractions and even travel through parts of Space Mountain. The PeopleMover is also a great opportunity to sit down and rest your feet while still enjoying an attraction. If you visit after dark, consider riding again to see Tomorrowland lit up at night.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a great Fantasyland attraction to add to a relaxed Magic Kingdom day. Guests climb aboard a Hunny Pot and travel through scenes inspired by the classic Winnie the Pooh stories. While there are a few playful movements along the way, this is an easygoing dark ride that families can simply sit back and enjoy. It is also a great attraction for guests of different ages to experience together, making it an easy addition when your family wants to enjoy Magic Kingdom without focusing only on the biggest thrill rides.
Mickey’s PhilharMagic
Mickey’s PhilharMagic is another great attraction for families who want to slow down for a little while. This indoor 3D show features Donald Duck alongside characters and music from several classic Disney animated films. Guests can sit down in an air-conditioned theater and enjoy the show without having to walk through another long attraction queue. Its Fantasyland location also makes PhilharMagic an easy addition when you need a break between some of the busier attractions nearby.
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is an easy attraction to work into a relaxed afternoon at Magic Kingdom. Located in Adventureland, the show features singing birds, flowers, and tiki statues performing classic songs. The attraction gives guests another opportunity to sit down indoors and take a break from walking around the park. Its shorter runtime also means you can enjoy some downtime without dedicating a huge portion of your day to a single attraction.
“it’s a small world”
A relaxed Magic Kingdom day wouldn’t be complete without a slow-moving boat ride. “it’s a small world” takes guests through colorful scenes representing countries and cultures from around the world. The ride itself lasts several minutes, giving you plenty of time to sit back and enjoy the attraction. It is also suitable for guests of virtually all ages, making it an easy choice when traveling with a larger family.
