EPCOT is a park that can easily fill an entire day, especially for guests who enjoy taking their time exploring World Showcase. But sometimes a Disney vacation only leaves room for a few hours at EPCOT. Whether you are park hopping or arriving later in the day, you can still experience several of the park’s best attractions during a half-day visit. The key is knowing which attractions should be at the top of your list and which ones you can save for another trip.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
If your family enjoys thrill rides, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind should be one of your biggest priorities. Located in World Discovery, this indoor roller coaster features a reverse launch and ride vehicles that rotate to direct guests toward the action. It is one of EPCOT’s biggest attractions, so riding it can take a significant chunk of your limited park time depending on the wait. Still, it is an experience that thrill-seeking guests won’t want to miss.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Guests planning to spend some of their half-day exploring World Showcase should consider making Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure another priority. Located in the France Pavilion, this attraction shrinks guests down to Remy’s size as they race through Gusteau’s kitchen. Since the attraction is located toward the back of World Showcase, it is a great ride to pair with some time exploring the surrounding pavilions rather than making a separate trip across the park later.
Frozen Ever After
Frozen Ever After is another popular World Showcase attraction, especially for families visiting EPCOT with younger children. Located in the Norway Pavilion, this boat ride takes guests into the world of Frozen where they can see Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and other familiar characters. The attraction has no height requirement, making it something the entire family can experience together. Families with only a few hours in EPCOT can easily combine Frozen Ever After with a quick walk through several nearby World Showcase pavilions.
Test Track
Those looking to fit another thrill ride into their half-day should head over to Test Track. This attraction takes guests on a journey focused on the future of transportation before ending with an exciting high-speed portion of the ride. Test Track is located in World Discovery near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which makes these two attractions convenient to experience relatively close together. Prioritizing attractions by location can save quite a bit of unnecessary walking when your time in the park is limited.
Spaceship Earth
No short visit to EPCOT feels quite complete without spending some time inside the park’s iconic geodesic sphere. Spaceship Earth takes guests through the history of human communication during a slow-moving 16-minute attraction. Its location near EPCOT’s main entrance also makes it an especially convenient attraction for a half-day visit. Consider riding Spaceship Earth shortly after entering the park or saving it for your final attraction before heading out for the day.
