A Complete Guide to Dining at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort and Spa

Grand Californian

You’re thinking of booking a holiday at Disneyland’s Grand Californian Resort, but as a foodie, a vital factor in your decision is that you want to dine at exquisite restaurants. Here is a guide to all of the dining options at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort and Spa, complete with a suggestion of what to order at each location.

Storytellers Cafe

At Storytellers Cafe, you can experience breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. My favorite element, though, is when Mickey, Minnie, Chip, and Dale will welcome you and your family for a breakfast filled with delightful enchantment. You will be able to indulge in a sliced smoked salmon bar, fruits, berries, Mickey Waffles, frittatas, chile verde chilaquiles, hand-carved meats, and, the best part, an omelet station. The experience costs $31.00 for children and $52.00 for adults. While the characters are not avalible for dinner, you and your family are still in for a comforting meal. Starting at $47.00 for adults and $26.00 for children, you can experience a buffet-style meal with chicken, fish, pasta, and vegetables—Bon appitiet.

Napa Rose

Napa Rose is my favorite restaurant in all of Disneyland. It is Disneyland Resort’s flagship eatery and one of the finest in all of Orange County, California. This restaurant is exclusively open for dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. It is very popular, so reservations are strongly recommended. For your starter, I recommend the Sautéed Diver Scallop. At 26.00, this dish is a great deal. It’s a scallop with roasted Sweet Potato, Bacon, Brussels Sprout, Pomegranate Lime Vinaigrette. For your entree, I recommend the delectable Berkshire Pork Chop. It incorporates Gochujang Butter Basted and Lemongrass-Asian Pear. At $52.00, it is on the pricer side, but trust me, it is the perfect savory delight. Lastly, for your dessert, the Warm Pear Upside Down Butter Cake is a must-try. At $17.00, it is the ideal selection to complete an already delightful meal.

Hearthstone Lounge

If you are looking to enjoy delectable steak frites or something more filling, like a tasty artisanal pizza, this is the perfect lounge for a relaxing retreat. My personal favorites on this menu include the Hearthstone Burger, Achiote Shrimp & Grits, and the Chocolate Molten Cake.

The Hearthstone Burger is an American Wagyu Patty, Sonoma Sharp White Cheddar, Avocado, Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon-Shallot Jam, Herb Focaccia Bun, and a side of warm Steak Fries. At $24.00, this is a great deal. The second item on my list is the Achiote Shrimp & Grits. At $30.00, this delicious dish includes Grilled Shrimp on Corn Porridge Grits, Oaxaca Cheese, Chile Butter, Roasted Cherry Tomatoes, and Aromatic. Talk about yum! Last but certainly not least the Chocolate Molten Cake. This $12.00 delight includes Almond Brittle, Chantilly Cream, and Warm Chocolate Fudge Sauce. Talk about yum!

The GCH Craftsman Grill

This spot is perfect for sit-down meals and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, I would choose the Belgian Waffle and the Brioche French Toast. The Belgian Waffle comes with Seasonal Compote, Powdered Sugar, Chocolate-Hazelnut Sauce, and Chantilly Cream. The Brioche French Toast comes with Thick-sliced Brioche with Vanilla-sweetened Mascarpone, Fresh Berries, Powdered Sugar, Blueberry Compote, and Chantilly Cream. At $17.00 each, both of these dishes can’t be missed. For lunch and dinner, I would choose the $22.00 Sticky Chicken Wings. They are Honey-Soy-Ginger-glazed, served with Steamed Jasmine Rice and Pickled Cucumber Slaw. Delicious!

GCH Craftsman Bar

If you want to lounge in the warm Southern California sun while enjoying some cool drinks and tasty delights, the GCH Californian Bar is your spot. It is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, check out the $19.00 Breakfast Sandwich. It has Eggs, Ham, Potato, and Melted Cheese on a toasted croissant, served with Arugula Salad with Cucumber, Feta, and Tomato Vinaigrette. For lunch and dinner, check out the $ 22.00 Poke Bowl. You can choose between Sushi Grade Salmon or Tuna tossed in Ponzu. I recommend the Sushi sushi-grade salmon with Cucumber, Edamame, Avocado, Crab Salad, Green Onions, Radicchio, Pickled Seaweed, Furikake, and Sriracha Aïoli with Calrose Rice. Enjoy!

There’s always room service, too. We hope these selections make your mouth water and get you excited about dining at The Grand Californian Resort and Spa on your next Disneyland Resort visit. While these dishes are my favorites, whatever you choose will be a delight for the tastebuds.
