Traveling with small children can change what you look for in a resort or vacation. Families with littles understand that every small detail counts when you are traveling for a vacation. If you are anything like me, you worry about ways the entire family can have fun together on their vacation. Disney World makes it easy to include all members of the family, and overall it is a very accommodating place for little ones. Staying DVC is great for families with small kids because of the spacious villas, as well as the many amenities and recreational activities available.
When you have children who are too young to swim, you might be concerned with finding ways to enjoy the water as a family. Luckily, several DVC resorts are equipped with splash zones for children to play in. Splash zones make it so easy for the whole family to have fun in the water together, without having to worry about the ability to swim. Guests can happily supervise their children as they splash around and play in areas that were made for them. Here are some DVC resorts that have splash zones for little kids.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is home to several wonderful pools, as well as an Alice in Wonderland themed splash zone. This splash zone features various water features, a small water slide, and the Mad Hatter’s hat that will fill with water and dump!
Disney’s Polynesian Resort
Disney’s Polynesian Resort has a splash zone near the main Volcano pool. This splash area includes a small waterslide, bridge, waterfall, and various squirting water features.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Jambo House pool features a small wading pool just for the little ones, as well as various water playgrounds suitable for children of various ages. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
Saratoga Springs Resort is home to not just one but two splash zones. The Donald Duck splash zone is located at High Rock Spring Pool, and two small waterslides are located at The Paddock Pool. This is a great opportunity for families to play together, because both pools have large waterslides for big kids and adults as well.
