There are several ways to end your day at the Disney parks but enjoying a nice dinner in the evening might be my family’s favorite. When looking at dinner options, guests are not limited to restaurants located within the parks. Any guest can visit a DVC resort and enjoy their dining opportunities, and have a chance to explore the resort as well. If you are looking for great places to enjoy dinner during your next Disney World vacation then check out these DVC resorts with great dinner options.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Kidani Village
One of my personal favorite DVC resorts is Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village. This resort has stunning views of its own African savanna complete with giraffes, gazelles, zebras, and many more animals. You don’t have to be a guest at this resort to watch the animals as there are viewing platforms located throughout the resort.
One of Disney World’s best hidden gem restaurants is Sanaa. Sanaa is located within Kidani Village and not only serves fantastic African-inspired food but also boasts incredible views of the savanna. Book your dinner reservation just before sunset to see the animals during their most active time of day. Sanaa is famous for their bread service which features Indian-style breads and various dips. Guests also love the chicken and shrimp curry, as well as the African Triple-Chocolate Mousse for dessert.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is conveniently located on the monorail line and is also home to several options for dinner. Guests can leave the Magic Kingdom and arrive at the Contemporary Resort in minutes, and even head back over to the park before closing to finish the day. Disney’s Contemporary Resort has three table-service restaurants open for dinner.
Steakhouse 71 is a casual steakhouse that is a favorite for dinner. Steakhouse 71 pays homage to the year that Disney World opened and is a love letter to Walt Disney himself. Steakhouse 71 serves high-end steaks as well as some of Walt’s favorites.
California Grill is another table-service restaurant that contains a fine-dining experience. Guests will board an elevator that takes them to the 15th floor of the resort. California Grill is the perfect spot for viewing Magic Kingdom’s fireworks spectacular. Guests will dine on a three-course selection menu and experience high-class meals like Wagyu strip loin and pumpkin ravioli.
Chef Mickey’s is the third table-service that Disney’s Contemporary Resort has to offer. Chef Mickey’s features a large buffet of American dinner favorites like NY strip loin, roasted pork, and gourmet macaroni and cheese. Most importantly, Mickey and his pals join you during your meal!
Disney’s Polynesian Resort
Also located on the monorail line just minutes away from Magic Kingdom is Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This resort is an incredible sight in the evenings with its lakeside beaches and palm trees. Disney’s Polynesian Resort is one of the most relaxing DVC resorts with its laid-back island atmosphere. Kona Cafe and Capt. Cooks are dining locations that are both open for dinner time, but the real star of the show for dinner at Disney’s Polynesian Resort is ‘Ohana Restaurant.
Ohana is a meat-lover’s paradise and serves an incredible all-you-care-to-enjoy feast. Everyone is family at Ohana and guests love the hospitable atmosphere that this restaurant provides. Large windows line the restaurant making this a great place to view Magic Kingdom’s fireworks show. The menu at Ohana includes pork dumplings, chicken wings, shrimp, chicken, pork, steak, noodles, and delicious bread pudding.
