Why Fantasyland Is The Best Land For Toddlers

Visiting Disney World with little ones and toddlers can be intimidating for some guests. Disney makes it so easy for families with little ones to vacation; guests with toddlers truly don’t have to worry about their upcoming visit at all. Not only are there Baby Care Centers at each Disney park, but there are also stroller rentals, portable cribs and pack n’ plays at resorts, rider switch, and many more accommodations that make Disney vacations a breeze. Magic Kingdom is a popular Disney park for many reasons but especially so for families with littles. There are attractions throughout the park that are great for toddlers, but perhaps the most toddler friendly area of the park is Fantasyland. If you have an upcoming vacation to Magic Kingdom then be sure to spend a lot of time in Fantasyland and discover why it is the best land for toddlers.

Family Attractions

Fantasyland, like the other lands within Magic Kingdom, has attractions that are suitable for guests of all ages and heights. However, Fantasyland has the most child-friendly attractions throughout all of the lands. I often recommend families with children plan to spend the majority of their day here because of the volume of attractions that will be available to them. Little ones 36 inches or taller can enjoy their first roller coaster ride with Goofy’s Barnstormer, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant is nearby for those who aren’t yet ready for speedy thrills. The Disney classic “its a small world” is a must-do for any toddler, and no Disney vacation is complete without a ride on Prince Charming Regal Carousel. Mad Tea Party is a dizzy delight for guests of all ages, Peter Pan’s Flight is thrilling for even the smallest riders, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh brings beloved characters to life.

Restful Areas

Another reason why Fantasyland is great for toddlers and babies is the amount of restful areas that guests can find throughout. Within Storybook Circus, guests can hop in the standard queue for Dumbo the Flying Elephant and play in the playground until it is their turn to ride the attraction. Outside the attraction, little ones can cool off with Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station (don’t forget a change of clothes!). The Big Top Souvenirs gift shop is a large shop which doubles as a great stroller napping location.

Character Meet and Greets

Fantasyland is also where many characters meet and greet which is perfect for toddlers. Guests can meet Daisy, Minnie, and Donald at Storybook Circus, Pooh and Tigger near The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction, and Cinderella and Tiana as well as other visiting princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall.

Photo Opportunities

Plentiful photo opportunities are another bonus for toddler parents. Fantasyland is full of quintessential Disney magic scenery that is the perfect backdrop for capturing the moment with your little one. My favorite photo areas for toddlers is near Prince Charming Regal Carousel overlooking the back of the castle, near the Mad Tea Party attraction, and the Royal Portrait Studio inside Sir Mickey’s where you can take royal photos with a Photopass Photographer.
