Which DVC Resort Should You Visit During Easter?

Easter

There is no better time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort than Easter. The flowers bloom, bright colors are all around, and the weather is warming up. It is just perfect.

If you and your family consider visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during Easter, you might wonder which resort to choose. If you find yourself in that position, read on to learn about two of my top Disney Resort Collection Hotel suggestions for a most magical Easter vacation.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

As Disney’s flagship resort, nothing captures the magic of Disney better than the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. As you enter, you will be blown away by the Victorian-style ambiance. Exclusively for Easter, the Grand Floridian has an incredible Easter Eggs Display you want to check out. You will see an unforgettable array of Easter Eggs decorated with unbelievable detail. Each Easter Egg has its distinct theme, and you can see them in the resort lobby.

Also, as a special treat exclusively at Easter, you will find The Grand Cottage in the lobby. It opened on March 3rd, 2024, and will be in operation through April 1st, 2024. It operates from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. While we highly recommend staying here to maximize the enjoyment of this offering, you don’t have to be a guest of the Grand Floridian to appreciate it — anyone can drop by to pick up a few mouthwatering seasonal delights!

The Grand Cottage Menu

For Easter 2024, guests can choose from a selection of the following items.

  • Easter Marshmallow Pop: Three gigantic marshmallows immersed in a yellow chocolate coating.
  • Bunny Burrow Dirt Cup: Layers of chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream, and cookies’ n cream chunks with springtime décor (this is also available at Gasparilla Island Grill)
  • Fruity Cereal Mickey Pop: Mickey-shaped fruity cereal crisped treat
  • Bunny Pop Flower Pot: Chocolate flower pot filled with jelly beans and three chocolate bunny pops
  • The Easter Treat Box: Dark chocolate sufficed bunny, carrot blondie pop, marshmallow pop, carrot cake chocolate bark, confetti pop, and meringue nests
  • The Grand Egg: White chocolate egg loaded with jelly beans splashed in spring colors

Disney’s Contemporary Resort + Bay Lake Tower

Like Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort is nostalgic for many guests because it opened in 1971, just like Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park.

From now until April 1st, 2024, guests of Disney’s Contemporary Resort can find beautiful egg displays throughout the building. My absolute favorite egg display is called “Dance of the Hours”. The intricate display has chocolate sculptures of Hyacinth Hippo and Ben Ali Gator. My second favorite egg display is for popcorn lovers alike. The display is shaped like a Mickey popcorn bucket, with one large egg for the centerpiece and two more diminutive eggs for Mickey’s “ears.” It reminds me of the popcorn buckets that can be purchased in any of the Disney Parks.
