Vintage Attractions At Disneyland Park

Disneyland is a Disney park that has a lot of history. Walt Disney first opened Disneyland in 1955, and the park was his own personal passion project which meant every detail and attraction was overseen by Walt himself. Walt Disney envisioned a place where parents and children could go to play together and families could have fun without anyone being left out. This vision remains true throughout the Disney parks to this day, with many attractions being family attractions with no height restrictions. Disneyland has seen a great amount of progress throughout the years, but there are still several attractions that remain from its opening day in 1955. If classic attractions interest you then check out these vintage attractions that you can still find at Disneyland!

Autopia

This attraction has been getting kids behind the wheel since 1955! Guests 32 inches or taller can drive these automobiles as long as they are accompanied by someone 54 inches or taller, and guests 54 inches or taller may drive on their own. This attraction is the only attraction in Tomorrowland that has been operating since 1955 and involves a scenic route through the area.

Jungle Cruise

Jungle Cruise was a project that Walt Disney himself designed. Originally intended to house live animals, the concept of this attraction was changed to include animatronics as guests tour the jungles and rivers of the world. This attraction has evolved throughout the years to include comedy brought to you live by the skippers.

This carousel has not only been operating in Disneyland since 1955, but even years prior to that. This carousel has been operating since 1922 in Toronto where Walt purchased it and transformed it into the regal King Arthur Carousel we know today.
