Disney’s BoardWalk Resort area is one of the best places to spend a few hours when you want a little Disney atmosphere without committing to a full park day. Situated just between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot, it also can be the perfect bookend to your busy park day. With the lights reflecting off Crescent Lake, live entertainment and plenty of places to eat and drink, it’s especially charming around sunset.

Start with something sweet at The Cake Bake Shop
Begin your evening by stopping into The Cake Bake Shop Bakery for a pastry or another decadent treat. The bakery is filled with chandeliers, elaborate cakes and plenty of pretty details, making it feel like an experience in itself. You can grab something to-go and continue wandering, or find a spot nearby to enjoy your treat before moving on.

Stop for a drink at Belle Vue Lounge
Next, head into Belle Vue Lounge inside Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. This cozy 1930s-inspired lounge feels worlds away from the busier BoardWalk outside, with vintage radio programs playing in the background and comfortable seating. Order the Orange Blossom Manhattan and take your time here before heading back outside. Note that the lounge can get busy around 7pm, but there is often seating just outside in the white chairs on the balcony, which also happens to be a great spot to catch a stunning Florida sunset.

Check out Hurly-Burly
Recently added to the Boardwalk as they opened on October 1, 2026, you can make your way to Hurly-Burly, the BoardWalk’s newest entertainment destination. Taking over the former Jellyrolls space, Hurly-Burly is inspired by historic seaside theaters and vaudeville-era entertainment. During the afternoon and early evening, it offers family-friendly activities like trivia and games, while beginning at 9 p.m. it becomes a 21-and-over venue featuring live music.

Watch the BoardWalk performers
As the sun goes down, keep an eye out for the BoardWalk’s evening street performers. The lineup can vary, but past BoardWalk Buskers have included jugglers, magicians, musicians, jump-rope performers and other variety acts. There’s something particularly fun about stumbling across a performance while simply walking around rather than having to plan your evening around a scheduled show.

Take a spin around Crescent Lake
For one of the most quintessential BoardWalk experiences, rent a Surrey bike and pedal around Crescent Lake. The four-person bikes are built for cruising along the waterfront and are a fun way to see the BoardWalk and surrounding resorts from a different perspective. Current published estimates put a 30-minute rental at around $25 for a two-person Surrey bike, though prices are subject to change.

End with a sunset stroll
Finally, slow things down. Wander along the water, watch the boats glide across Crescent Lake and find a spot along the railing to watch the sky change colors. As the BoardWalk lights begin to glow, you’ll get that perfect combination of old-fashioned seaside charm and Disney magic, and you didn’t have to step foot inside a theme park to experience it!
