Attraction Overview
The Maharajah Jungle Trek is an opportunity to get and up-close look at some of the animals at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This walkthrough attraction, located in the Asia section of the park, takes you into the Anadapur Royal Forest. As legend has it, this forest used to be hunting ground for wealthy maharajahs.
Now, the Anadapur Royal forest is a self-guided, walking tour where you can see all kinds of wildlife. The main attraction of the Maharajah Jungle Trek is the biggest cat in the jungle. That’s right, you can see several tigers as you explore the Maharajah Jungle Trek! In addition to tigers, there are gibbons, elds deer, blackbuck, komodo dragon, malayan flying fox, water buffalo, over 50 species of birds.
For an even more interactive experience at the Maharajah Jungle Trek, become a Wilderness Explorer! During this self-guided activity, you and your littles one can work together to collect badges through a series of fun challenges. Wilderness Explorer activities is not just available at the Maharajah Jungle Trek! You can pick up a handbook on the bridge between the Oasis and Discovery Island, Africa, Rafiki’s Planet Watch, Asia, Dinoland USA, and Pandora – The World of Avatar.

You can see the animals on the Maharajah Jungle Trek with zero wait time which makes it a great attraction to experience while you wait for your next lightning lane selection.

With no wait time, there is no true queue experience for the Maharajah Jungle Trek. Instead, the attraction is a long pathway that you follow in order to see all of the animals. Along the trek, you will encounter footbridges, waterfalls, Tibetan flags, and a palace frozen in time.
